Johnnie Jackson as our next manager and Chris Solly his assistant1

LOl. Yes, simple choice.colin1961 said:
Treble your wages , bigger club more chance of progressing to championship , and the highest player budget in div one to work withLenGlover said:But why would you leave a promoted club that you've built up for a basket case like us in the same division?
Doesn't ring true to me.
Simple choice really7 -
More chance of getting Bob Todd.Atletico Addick said:Chris Todd of Eastleigh, anyone ?

Deal Done
Northampton Town manager Chris Wilder is set to take over at Charlton Athletic after a deal between the two parties was ‘done’, according to The Times.
Journalist Gary Jacob claims the League Two title winning boss is now set to depart Sixfields alongside assistant manager Alan Knill.
He tweeted: “Charlton Athletic deal for Chris Wilder done and assistant Alan Knill set to follow from Northampton”colin1961 said:Northampton certain the deal is close as they approach Steve Cotterill to replace Wilder ....
Guess Wilmots must be back on.colin1961 said:Think your looking at 3 to 4 year deal .....

Really disappointed by this. I was clinging to the faintest of hopes that they were going to change their approach. They've gone for a cheap option, lauded it over the official site and it's blown up in their faces.
Well done to Wilder. He seems like a good manager and a person with principles. Would have loved to have had him.
Where do we go from here? They offered to substantially increase Northampton Town's manger's salary and he turned us down. Who the heck will touch us?1 -
Another puppet for us then0

<-----still thinks Naby Sarr could come good with the right coaching and potentially a loan spell.</p>SDAddick said:
Similar to how they even conned our players into signing contracts.LuckyReds said:
In other words they tried to con him, just like they conned Riga into returning. No manager with any brain is now going to take us on without having his lawyer scrutinise the contract very carefully.queensland_addick said:Rob62 said:Chris Wilder will not be the new #cafc manager. Really wanted job but club refused to put the assurances over control, buying etc in writing

Johann was promised some good players around him and a genuine push for promotion wasn't he? What did he get? Nabby Sarr and Ba. Nabby bloody Sarr.
That would need a witch's spell, not a loan spell!2 - Sponsored links:

Looks like we were right all along.8

Bullshit. Both Alex Varney and Ketts (Dr. Kish) have said it's to do with CAFC not putting the assurances in writing. I know who I prefer to believe.colin1961 said:Everything agreed press release planned for tomorrow but Charlton wanted it sorted today but Wilder wanted to see the other options before deciding , so Charlton pulled the plug .....

Is he marrying her or giving her away?
I hope it's the latter.

IF that was true, which seeing it is you is very unlikely, that makes Charlton look even more stupid. Couldn't wait 24 hours for the man they wanted.colin1961 said:Everything agreed press release planned for tomorrow but Charlton wanted it sorted today but Wilder wanted to see the other options before deciding , so Charlton pulled the plug .....
Or is it more likely Wilder didn't get the assurances he wanted in writing so said no.8 -
So this shows that Roland is not willing to change. He's not willing to let a manager MANAGE the club. CW said he would come if he had full control with no/very little interference, sadly I feel there is no chance the club will go forward but only backwards with this regime in charge.3

Now when he joins Sheffield United, they will come good1

CW not joining is about as unexpected as rain on a bank holiday and socks from Mum at xmas. I'd love to hear CW's version of events and I'd lay good money it involved squad recruitment, budgets, selection, to name just 3.
Odds on Nobby Vignjevic buying a London A to Z and English phrase book must be shortening by the minute.

Yeah but we have a 'top 6 budget' Colin, so we shouldn't have to worry about other interest in CW right?colin1961 said:Everything agreed press release planned for tomorrow but Charlton wanted it sorted today but Wilder wanted to see the other options before deciding , so Charlton pulled the plug .....

No disrespect to you and yours, @shoearmy (which is a great name, by the way), but when we're being condescended to by Northampton, notwithstanding it's Alan Moore's favourite place on earth, we really have hit rock bottom.shoearmy said:Turning into a shambles this. Suppose this is typical of the way Charlton is run right now?
Can't sympathise enough with you all.2 -
Someone should give her dad a knock and ask if he let Duchatelet give her away..carly burn said:Leeds_Addick said:Looks like we were right all along.
