Chris Wilder goes up in my estimations - wish him well with his future success @ our expense.
When will these guys wake up and smell the coffee......6 -
Good on Wilder for not laying back and taking it for the added cash.Redmidland said:from twitter
Chris Wilder will not be the new #cafc manager. Really wanted job but club refused to put the assurances over control, buying etc in writing
Why would the club promise these things and not put them in writing? Oh yeah, because they're a bunch of fucking liars. Glad to see that ultimately he listened to what people had told him about the regime. I had read that stuff about contract durations on Twitter which wouldn't surprise me either.
When are these bastards going to understand: they don't know anything about football, and no one who knows anything is going to want to work with them.18 -
It clearly now confirms not just to us but all of the footballing world that the owner is not to be trusted after stating last week that he would give assurances to CW that he had the say on what players to bring in,but then to announce we have made a formal approach the day after their championship parade, their chairman comes out and states he is as good as gone, but the cherry on top of the cake is that he does not have a say in the transfers and that they were not prepared to put it in writing which clearly suggests that the owner was bullshitting and his puppet would not confirm his requests.3

maybe if the fans were better behaved someone would want to come in and manage us - no roland you need to stop being a crusty goat and let the managers decide what goes on.1

Similar to how they even conned our players into signing contracts.queensland_addick said:
In other words they tried to con him, just like they conned Riga into returning. No manager with any brain is now going to take us on without having his lawyer scrutinise the contract very carefully.Rob62 said:Chris Wilder will not be the new #cafc manager. Johann was promised some good players around him and a genuine push for promotion wasn't he? What did he get? Nabby Sarr and Ba. Nabby bloody Sarr.5 -
Was always going to be overly ambitious for this regime to appoint a manager with experience of a level higher than the 5th tier of English football.
Hopefully Meire's in Dubrovnik or N'Djamena now on a recruitment drive at the local cub scout leagues for a replacement more befitting of their tenure.1 -
So sadly predictable, I genuinely can't understand why there isn't the biggest "FOR SALE" sign ever constructed being erected outside The Valley right now.
Just go, for crying out loud.12 -

<-----still thinks Naby Sarr could come good with the right coaching and potentially a loan spell.0 - Sponsored links:

To fair, it's not as if anyone expects him to actually stay at Northampton. He clearly is in demand, and expects to get something better than both Charlton and Northampton...MikeBaileysFanClub said:You couldn't make this up ! Brilliant, nail in the coffin for any doubters that thought the owners weren't complete divs.

Thing about Sheff Utd is they expect to go up now. If Wilder doesn't achieve that in one year then he'll get the sack, simple as that. Think he should stay at Northampton.2
-
Why did they even bother announcing that they were in talks anyway? Egg on their faces once again , what a shambles.9

I think your absolutely right .SELR_addicks said:They never wanted him in the first place, just made it seem like they did. Just like Max Gradel and other signings.
In a few weeks they'll say no one else was available when they sign the Újpest manager.
That's exactly my take on it too .
Sneaky underhand Bastards.

No Colin, it's not. Can we come back to Earth for just one short visit please?colin1961 said:Very simple Sheffield Utd have entered the race and that's his number one love ........ Nigel Adkins ?
The club have - once again - tried to bullshit their way in to getting someone to sign up for their nonsense. This time they met their match, and were told where to go.
Coincidentally this has happened during the only time they've approached a British manager, and with no disrespect to the chap, a British manager who has no experience beyond League 2. He saw through the lies and told them to f*ck off.
This is a painful statement about how hard we're going to find it to get a decent and qualified manager whilst these idiots are in charge.29 -
Our chairman has said there is other interest in CW and AK but no official approach.0

If you make assurances but are unwilling to back them up in writing, it suggests dishonesty. Now are people seriously meant to believe that we are run by liars? Come on!6
-
I posted yesterday the opinion of an Oxford fan, and someone whose judgement I'd trust, to the effect that CW was not the easiest going person to get on with and could be a bit bloody minded (some of you chose to put it down to bitter fan syndrome). A Cobblers fan has also posted today that he doesn't take any crap off anyone.
I can't see it's a coincidence he hasn't been able to get the assurances as to footballing autonomy from us to get the deal done, even with the money on the table.
The countdown to Nobby Vinegar ticks on...2 -
Because Meire is so cock sure of everything she does.CAFCdamo said:Why did they even bother announcing that they were in talks anyway? Egg on their faces once again , what a shambles.
A very bad judge of her own character.

The frightening, and I mean really frightening, thing about this is there will still be supporters, sorry customers, who will say he really has changed and did go after a British manager.11
-
But we have been told by Ms Meire that Roland does not interfere with team selection and transfers. Why would it be such a big deal to confirm that in writing?
Never a truer word sprayed on a double bedsheet.31 -
