  • Absolute quality design. Who said you can't do anything by committee? Well done Tel for taking the lead, Nug for the brilliant designs and everyone else who contributed. That'll be three for me please.
  • I like it (well i don't like it) but i think it does the job. I would rather not have 'covered end choir' on it. Better to put 'support the team not the regime' Or perhaps 'true Charlton' ?

May have missed it elsewhere but what are the size ranges?
  • Just one question.

Is this shirt only to be work by those that sit in the North Stand? Otherwise I don't get the relevance of Covered End Choir?
I think Covered End Choir is inspired. I'm in the East Stand these days but I spent many a brilliant afternoon in the covered end, as part of the "choir" in the 60s and 70s. Once a Covered Ender always a Covered Ender.

Fabulous work by @TEL (a pleasure to meet you today mate) @Nug and all those involved. It is a superb design that knocks the official kits out of the park.

I'm just hoping they come in Marque sizes or else I'll be hanging mine on my rear view mirror. :(
  • Sorry if this has already been stated but is it the shirt only that's available or can you get shorts and socks for kids?

That's a good point @jamescafc and not something we'd properly addressed, we were really focusing on the shirt, but I have a 10 year old and I know he'd like a full kit. We'll discuss this option for kids and see if it's viable.
  • Will they be available in time for the first friendly (Welling)?

its a prototype...by all means come up with a Charlton relevant slogan, but read the exclusions above first.....Covered End is something we all have some afinity with.

Thanks @Nug. My sons 5 and practically lives in his Charlton kits throughout summer. I imagine many others do the same so hoping there's sufficient demand for production.
  • I'm not criticising, incidentally, I just think it does make it look like a shirt for those in the North Stand.

At least 3 of the above were "on the table" as was My Only Desire. At the end of the day a group (not all CARD) decided on this one in reference to our song Valley Floyd Road. We realise the name/logo/kit design will not please everyone and that was never likely to happen but it's a protest shirt and intended to make a statement to the club that we don't accept their ownership.
    Fair enough.
  • Great design as it is. I'm up for two.
  • In for one adult and one child, amazing

This, I'm a covered ender of the same era so it's perfect.
  • Surely every Charlton fan has been part of the Covered End Choir at some point?
  • How about having a slogan of
    "Many miles have I travelled"

    Seems not Kings Hill Addick.

  • Don't sit in covered end yet as son is too young but it's a key component of Valley Floyd Road,

We chant it despite our limited miles travelled and our limited chanting inside the choir.

I have no problem with this.
  • But if it had been predominantly red it wouldn't have been as noticeable in the ground. Also it carries on the Black and White theme. I really like it.

Exactly, if it was a red jersey it would "blend in" with the official replica kit. We want to stand out - it IS a protest.

Cheers Tel but I meant what measurements do the sizes cover? What is a medium, a large etc..... I'm kind of in between sizes and different makers size sizes differently. Cheers.

I will provide a sizing chart with all the measurements in due course. From what Ive seen and measured so far they tend to come up a little bit larger than the current Nike range, but lets wait for the size chart and prototype before I commit to anything.

Thought Covered End Choir might alienate other parts of the ground, until I read this quote. Quite right. Even a Non Attending Supporter would be proud.... I`m in.
  • I'm not a fan of 'Covered End Choir', though I get the sentiment. I'd suggest setting up a poll with ideas mentioned above and elsewhere - making fans part of the creation would add appeal and more sales.
