CAFC STATEMENT

To late.
Do one!1 -
It's a statement for the sake of making a statement because the protests have been all over national tv, we won't hear anymore.19

If only.DOUCHER said:nothing more than a negotiating pitch for whoever is gioing to buy the club off them - trust me, they r going to sell as soon as next seasons status is determined

Personally I find The Soapy Jones Official Statement resonates a little more with me than the club one ;-)soapy_jones said:FUCK OFF YOU BELGIAN CUNTS

Think that was for the media and those no fully up to speed with the state of the club rather than the fans, sorry, customers..!!0
-
The statement was for the media. But they have gained wider exposure today and will tomorrow too. Shame about the clown who ran on after the goal, but generally a great day in highlighting the deep unhappiness at the club. And shows that there can be no let up, even if we get a few wins. It's not just about this season, it's about the future.4
-
So what they need to do is speak to CARD and the Trust. If they are serious about building bridges with the fans.10
-
Not the first time I've heard said this week, Tuesday I was told this by someone totally unconnected to the club. Never repeated it because I thought it was dogs***North Lower Neil said:

Can we get CARD to release a statement about today ?9

agreed, this is the (good) work of the new head of comms, but it's far too little far too lateC_A_F_C said:It's a statement for the sake of making a statement because the protests have been all over national tv, we won't hear anymore.

Pathetic.
Where were statements after all the other protests?
We accidentally win a match and they jump in there.
Cynical...like much else that they do.
I really hope Mel Baroni isn't behind this statement, if she is then it appears to be the first jot of work she has done (I don't buy the programme so I might be behind the curve somewhat) in over a month in the job.
Did I read somewhere that the head of communications pulls in £60k per year? If it is true, and Mel communicated this, then yes it is pathetic.
OK.
'extremely saddened'...like one notch up from very saddened, or two notches up from saddened?
And how is the sadness manifesting itself huh? In empty words it looks like.
What are you actually going to do...and don't say get a new pitch because the super duper one we got is looking as worn down as the spirit of the whole club. So you're going to do what exactly?
Then 'saddened by the situation which has led to supporters demonstrating'.
Well the situation is all of your own making, so therefore you are saddened by your own hateful, cynical, incompetent, and wilful destruction of our club...which leads to demonstrations. You have saddened your selves...go to a fucking therapist then.
You are saddened by your OWN chite behaviour...well have a word with yourselves before putting out sieze the moment cynical propaganda that is so badly written it wouldn't even get an 'E' Grade at GCSE English.
'Every supporter has the right to voice their opinion' huh?
For a start you could answer each and every email from supporters voicing their opinion as you're so supportive of that human right huh?
Isn't it ironic that things to get to this disaster before you even acknowledge those voices, let alone heed them. The club were told in the November meeting (power point city) that things were going appallingly, but we were told effectively 'no they're not'.
And the club are 'saddened'? Suprise fucking suprise.
Do everything we can?
Tell you what, put your money where your mouth is and start with an easy one...open the ticket office every day...is that something you 'can' or something you 'can't'?
Then in the spirit of doing 'everything you can to build a relationship' get rid of Katrien Miere...because we no longer want a relationship with that lying sneering incompetent.
I am assuming 'make sure they remain at the heart of the club' means make sure they give us season ticket money.
The statement is all kinds of bad, starting with cynical, and so ill timed it is the decision of an utter moron to release it.
Other than that...carry on.25 -
So now they want to build a relationship. Very different to what Meire said just over a year ago. We had been told the owner does it his way and we had to accept that.19
-
From what I've read elsewhere on here, she didn't look that saddened when the cameras were pointing at her this afternoon. Pretty sure the word "smiling" was used.5
-
Must have been written by or advised by the new head of comms. Feel a bit sorry for her, losing battle.2

EVERYTHING? So Katrien Meire is willing to have substantive discussions with the Supporters Trust regarding the strategy for the club, without using Johnnie Jackson as a human shield or diluting the discussion with day to day operational trivia? Roland is willing to employ a manager and other backroom staff with appropriate experience of the Championship / League One, and build a squad of players with sufficient experience of the English Leagues to allow our young players to develop appropriately rather than being thrown into a cobbled together group of misfits and no-hopers not suited for the rigours of the season ? Will they both accept that the prime factor in fans having a good matchday experience is success on the pitch? That we're supporters, not customers, and we want to support a football club, not a player farm?
Yeah, right.
And I'm a highly paid supermodel.24 -
Its just a pacifying statement. Like a gran tapping you on the head saying "there there" when your upset.1

Hello Mel B.
Ps. You are also responsible for the scoreboard where you decided to put up some message just before the 74th minute on the expectation we are all so stupid we would not realise the time. Good effort but you must try harder next time.19 -
Fuck off you ****s and whoever wrote that drivel employee or not. Patronising tossbags.Nug said:http://www.cafc.co.uk/news/article/charlton-middlesbrough-club-statement-3005753.aspx
Read a club statement in relation to events at The Valley during the match against Middlesbrough on Sunday afternoon
The club is extremely saddened by the situation which has led to supporters demonstrating ahead of, and during, the match against Middlesbrough on Sunday.
Every supporter has the right to voice their opinion and we are determined to do everything we can to work together with supporters to build our relationship with them and make sure they remain at the heart of this club.
We would like to thank supporters for getting behind the team today as we picked up a valuable three points in our fight to stay in the Championship.5 -

So now the Trust should issue a public statement asking to meet with Roland again. See what happens this time. And then publicise what happens.7
-
"she's gonna lie in a minute.."7

That's what the new communications manager gets paid to do, train katrien to communicate?0
-
Bet they got that as a template, just change the date and team...4

Do not believe it. Just watched game on TV, seeing close ups of KM smirking does not look like she cares or is concerned the fans are fuming.
Comments by Ian Holloway were good, does Roland really know what's going on?
Coverage of funeral and beach balls excellent. The walk out a bit pathetic.
Protests must continue until KM and RD are out.
5 -
Hey Mel, can we have our beach balls back?10
-
We need to remember that every statement that has come from the club this year has largely been aimed at the media and not the fans. And a string of comments about engaging with fans, better communications etc has been utter bullshit followed by silence.8
-
You had your chance to work with supporters Katrien, you declined several times and instead, you've gone out of your way to aggravate fans.
We've shown the entire country who you really are today. There's no turning back. Get out of our club and take Roland with you.13
