Great docs. Just highlights how F*cked up America can be.LuckyReds said:
Been addicted to good ol' Louis on Netflix recently, forgot how decent his shows were.kentaddick said:
louis' weird weekends needs to make a comeback with him spending some time with Douche shat a lot.Dave2l said:I would like to interview katrien I'd get all the answers and probably Louis theroux it a bit. She would hate it but then would probably wana come home with me.
I'd shape her mind to email Roland saying go F*ck yourself.
I have powers.
Would be cracking to see him pull the naive/slightly stupid act on Katrien, I imagine she would think that she'd struck gold. He had a real knack for knowing just what to ask (whilst appearing innocent) to elicit a good response.
That said, one of my favourite moments was actually when he character switched and was very quick witted when confronted with an absolute asshole. During the episode about porn, he was on the set of a gay film whilst interviewing a "straight" actor. The actor seems to get very annoyed when Louis asks him about his sexuality; so he resorts to bragging about how much money he was earning... just for Louis to throw him down with a quick "Yeah, but you just had to suck a di...".
I work with a Canadian who just rips on all things America. I'm sceptical about some things I hear but its mostly true.0 -
Out of interest do you think the club will use the same internal investigators that they used to find out how a couple managed to get into the stadium and have sex on the pitch?15

They should do, there's little difference between the two events, one she gets the sack and the other he loses his.kings hill addick said:Out of interest do you think the club will use the same internal investigators that they used to find out how a couple managed to get into the stadium and have sex on the pitch?

A bit worrying that the new Head of Comms did not advise the club to just ignore the 'prank'. Or perhaps she did and Katrien insisted on sending a message to the 2%? Which means that either the new HoC is a little naive or Katrien will do what she wants anyway but now has a media scapegoat.2

I like to see her rattled. More of the same please as this clearly worked.Atletico Addick said:It's obvious why Katrien released that statement, to scaremonger and stop people from doing such things. What she doesn't realise is that it's a shot in her own foot, the media will lap it up and us fans will find more and more ways. She's biting everywhere, and for such a 'professional' she really doesn't cope very well.
P.s. Katrien it could have been me come find me :- )

Just seen a picture of the CARD poster ! Fantastic !0

Beacuse none of the naughty customers have owned up to this, Katrien will make us sit in after the game on Saturday until somebody does own up.LouisMend said:Katrien was already aware of this and is not happy.
She's also not letting us use her football for the game.13 -
I am assuming the club statement was written by the new head of communications.mogodon said:A bit worrying that the new Head of Comms did not advise the club to just ignore the 'prank'. Wouldn't such stuff be her function?0 - Sponsored links:

Shouldn't that be "sacked by your CUSTOMERS"?daveydanger said:"Sacked by supporters,

Has anyone reminded Katrien that 'the customer is always right'?8

This is one of my favourite Charlton Life threads ever. It starts with a few of the behemoth figures looking over some documents and deciding that they are either fake or involve some kind of internal house-keeping within the club. Nothing to see here folks and then the thread descends into the merits of graphology and should at that point end sit forgotten along with thousands of others deep in the bowls of a server somewhere.
But no. Somewhere in South London, there is a lady in a strop. Despite not having a sense of humour, Meire has perfect comic timing. She would make a perfect straight man in a comedy duo (tis a shame that Murray ain’t funny). A poorly worded and hastily put up message, warning of an investigation that is placed on the official site. Cue some new gifs and jpegs and general ridicule on here, of she who must be respected.
Something that was just going to be forgotten, now with a bit of luck could become more mainstream. Why is a trivial hoax commented on within hours whilst there is no comment ever on a few thousand people standing in the drizzle after most matches wanting change? Investigate that.
Long after you've gone Meire, I'll recall this thread and smile.
Meire it is you, that is weird.

Any chance of getting a photo of the documents rigged up on something like the old Valley Party posters? Perhaps with the caption of "One day she'll send it herself".
I was going to try myself, but I have no idea what font is used!1 -

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/feb/09/charlton-resignation-katrien-meire-companies-house
Charlton Athletic have expressed concern after the resignation of their chief executive Katrien Meire was falsely posted on Companies House.
The club put out a statement saying: “The club is aware of a document that has appeared on Companies House. “This document is false and the club is investigating the matter as it is something we take seriously.”
Louis Mendez, whose Twitter feed identifies him as a presenter on Charltonlive, said: “This is hilarious. I have been reliably informed that it was in fact a #cafc fan who has resigned Katrien Meire’s directorship on her behalf.”
He added: “For the record, I do not know who did this. But I do know it is a forged signature and Katrien has not resigned as director.”
The incident is the latest to strike the troubled club who in January appointed their third manager this season, José Riga, who had managed the club previously.
Also in January, at the home game against Blackburn, thousands of fans protested against the ownership of Roland Duchâtelet, the Belgian businessman and founder of Belgium’s Vivant political party who bought the club in January 2014.
Meire, a 30-year-old lawyer who was brought on board by Duchâtelet, had attracted fans’ ire by referring to them as “customers”. At present Charlton sit bottom of the Championship, three points short of safety.13 - Sponsored links:

You can see it now, Companies house gets what looks like a dodgy notice, they send an email asking if it's correct, no reply from Pinocchio so assume it's correct.31

I did get a hint this might happen when Guardian sport followed me on Twitter this morning.
Would never have happened if the club hadn't responded though.23 -

So, this is the latest in the long line of Katrien induced Charlton PR disasters.
And this one is funny as absolutely hilarious.4 -

Agree 100%. Not a good start for the new HoC. Although KM may well have overruled and insisted that the plebs be told this is not funnyLouisMend said:I did get a hint this might happen when Guardian sport followed me on Twitter this morning.

Ms Meire might not know a lot about football but she must recognise an own goal when she sees one?!10
