A lot riding on this match for both clubs. Unfortunately for Charlton, it was settled in a five minute spell early in the first half. Two goals down, Charlton were at sea and were unable to recover. The rest of the affair was scrappy and largely uninteresting. Charlton worked their way back into it a bit but never really threatened and failed to earn a goal back before Wrexham scored their third and put it all to bed.
Wrexham have secured another consecutive promotion, finishing in second, and we can start preparing for the playoffs.
Wrexham 3 Charlton 0
Over to you.

The 2 teams that threw money at players got promoted....shock36

We focus on the Play-Offs and go again...
Wasn't much difference between the sides, we got done by the movement of Sam Smith over a couple of minutes, gave them a massive amount to protect, and gave us a mountain to climb!!11 -
Depth exposed.
Bottled the occasion, hope it doesn't linger in the memory once the play-offs hit.
Need Small and Berry back ASAP.45 -
Can't stand Brownie wanking off to Wrexham's win.17

Everything was set up for us with results elsewhere, but it wasn’t to be. Still, we have another opportunity now to go up so all focus should be on that.9

Two teams that play exactly the same way and on the day, Wrexham did it better than us.25

Very poor today. Our squad players that come in when our better players are injured are poor.Really don’t think we’ll go up but hope I’m wrong. Need a quick turnaround now and some motivational talking from Jones to get this team up for a massive potential 3 games9

Struggling to think of a worse day of sport in the round.31

Can’t claim we’re the second best team in the league and put in a performance like that in those circumstances. Just have to pray that Jones, Small and Berry are fit for the playoffs otherwise we’re in trouble.23

We played a side that knows how to defend, without two of our best attacking outlets.
I'm not overly down on this loss, with a makeshift 11 for the last 30 minutes. What did annoy me was the errors for their first 2.
My worry is fitness. Our first 11 is the best in the top 6. Outside of that we have Lower League One/League Two Quality.
Rest most of them next week. We cannot risk further injuries.4 -
Slipping all over the place was embarrassing….looked like we were playing on ice23

one of those games where we could have played for another few hours and still wouldn’t have scored. We dust ourselves off, and go for it in the play offs. To have a sniff of promotion is s massive credit considering how bad it was in November3

Sam Smith is a bit of a bellend, but he's a really good League One striker.16

They were and probably are a better team. Stronger and more determined. Thats the way it goes.Try the play offs to follow them up.6

That’s was shit, I hope and pray we don’t get bullied like that again.3

We looked very ordinary today3

Hopefully reset and prep for the playoffs now. We are better than we showed today. My concern is the injuries that will impact seriously. Just a bit concerned that we have frozen a bit for the Birmingham and Wrexham games. Still got to keep the faith that we can get past Wycombe, Stockport and Orient if they clinch 6th.1

Why did we keep slipping over and they didn’t?16

Fair play to Wrexham. We’ve been better over the last 4 months but they’ve been better over the season and were better today. The ghosts of last season revisited at the worst possible moment in terms of how we defended the first two goals and after that we never quite got going and they held us at arms length.Small was a huge miss and that allowed them surround TC.
It’s been an insane 2025 but that Appleton matching spell in October and November left us too much to do.
Buckle up for what I expect will be more playoff drama.8 -
Forget about today. The priority now is to get our mojo back, just as we did after Peterborough, and go into the play offs in confident mood.
And hopefully, we'll have Small and Berry back fit.
Also, no sour grapes from me. Congratulations to Wrexham, well deserved.26 -
We were set up to be a bit part at somebody else’s party and sadly we did nothing to disprove that. The team was weakening not strengthening, and general energy levels seemed marginally down. Small margins at these levels.Aside from the game, don’t think the circus comment helped tbh. Last thing we needed was to fire them up. Because I get was the outcome and objectively, it looked like our team that needed the fire up.
it’s been a fantastic run but feeling pretty deflated right now29 -
We were absolute shite. Need Berry Small Godden and Jones back firing for the play offs. Bad day but hopefully like Rotherham, Birmingham and Peterborough we bounce back and finally end our failure to win 4 games in a row at Wembley2

Looked like we were not mentally or physically up for it today.
It's done, we gave it a really really good crack at top 2 considering our league position in January.
Rest who we need to rest next Saturday, Burton game isnt important now, and go full tilt at the playoffs.
I'm very proud of the run we've had, and it's certainly not over.
