All if's and but's, with Methven allegedly on gardening leave, and with the possibility we reach the play off final, will he attend. Think that would be very telling if the parting is amicable.

I had a dream last night, one of those when you wake up in the middle of the night, and think it’s real.
We were playing Peterborough with one of those old fashioned brown and heavy, leather footballs, that were all the rage many moons ago.
But even stranger, Charlie was playing in goal for us, as a parting gift, wearing a Brian Clough green, goalies top, made a few saves, even tipped one onto the bar, bizarre…

Better miss the cheese aisle next time you’re in Asda.

I think it’s very funny that these individuals feel the need to tell us their personal observations on linked in (I assume it’s there)
It is what Linkedin etc are for.
It gives us fans an update of situation.
It also further suggests, to me at least that Barry Higson was let go, presumably because the commercial team aren't bringing in the numbers that the club expects.

Not quite it’s purpose.
It’s not an excuse to avoid a comms statement and to let people read between the lines.

It is what it is for FOR THE INDIVIDUALS who us it.
Whether the club should make a comms statement around every member of staff who leaves or joins is another matter.
No CEO, no Head of Commercial, no Club secretary & no Head of recruitment, good to see things seem pretty stable at the club.
This just proves to me that all most people care about is results on the pitch.
If we were 16th and without a CEO, head of commercial, club secretary or head of recruitment there would be about 50 pages of people having a meltdown. As it is, hardly anyone seems to be bothered.
I have read that the other way. I think we do care what is going on behind the scenes.
We all care yes, but i feel the reaction to all these vacancies would be far more dramatic if we were not sat in 4th. People let a lot slide if the team is doing well.
If people don't perceive there to be a problem, they won't generally look for the cause of one.
No mention of him being part of the side that got them relegated from the Championship and being on about 15-20k a week in league one? That probably cost Sunderland a lot more than a helicopter, although i agree it's not a good look for Methven.
Whatever the personal qualities and abilities are I know that Sutherland is a through and through Charlton Athletic fan, and Methven is a through and through Oxford United fan.

Richard Murray was a Wolves fan. Alan Curbishley was a West Ham fan.
Personally I don't give a shit which team our club employees or hierarchy support (or where they went to school), as long as they are professional, competent and (hopefully) excellent and successful at their jobs.
There's plenty of Charlton supporting wrong uns that have been associated with the club over the years.

(Probably just me)
Let's just say that my overriding impression of him was of someone who wasn't short of an ego.
