  • To clarify, the double jeopardy rule counts if Ramsay makes a challenge for the ball. Ref says he did, Ferguson felt he didn't.

Ferguson says he understands why Fernandez was sent off. #cafc #pufc

If thats the case then I agree with Ferguson, it was a clumsy tangle of legs... ball had well gone.

Cheer up Darren Ferguson, oh what can it mean? To a sad Scottish bastard and a shit football teammm
    Easy!
  • Why do we play so badly against 10men?

I also speak on behalf of Charlton and Posh fans when I say that ref was awful. Was utterly determined to be the star of the show.

Got all 3 big decisions wrong. Both weren't pens and it was never a red.
I actually think the red was fine, wasn’t in control, over top of the ball and caught the man half way up his shin studs up. Both pens were very soft though.
The pen we conceded, it looked to me that the contact was just outside the box before the opponent did his long jump?

Agree, it was outside the box

    I had wondered about that

The Posh red was definite, I could see him lunging at Small

    He didn't get them wrong.
Fortunately the 5 Charlton players who rushed to the ref saw the studs going in high on Small. Also Ferguson can see why the ref gave a red.

    Both were pens.

    The red card was correct
Thought it was a yellow tbh, but their penalty was outside the box so evens up.

So the red was right - from their own manager.
  • Neither were pens.
    Defo red.
    Ref was useless.
    Result was fair.
    COYR! 😎

I watched it on the stream and it is outside the box, is it late challenge ? no it's hard for Ramsay to keep away from the players heels if he wants to make a challenge, I think the ref gave it and wasn't sure he had it right so bottled the sending off. The other sending off and Charlton's penalty were both correct, harsh perhaps but if we had VAR they would have upheld both decisions.

    Same as I saw it.

I thought the contact was outside the area and, if the ref had agreed with me, I think he would’ve sent Ramsay off.
I think they try to avoid double punishment when giving penalties unless the foul is dangerous don’t they?

Edit: Never mind. I hadn’t read the other posts addressing this. 😳
  • Can't argue with another win but bloody hell, we don't do it easy do we !

Should have won it by 4 or 5 & would have done our GD the world of good. But we are 5th & only 4 points off Stockport with a game in hand......and we play them next month. Need to try to get ourselves nicely wedged in the top 6 & with games against Wycombe & Wrexham at the end of the season we might even nick 2nd !!

But.....still a long way to go. Still a 3rd of the season to go & if we are going to get to 78 points then we need to take our chances in games & kill off teams. 2 teams managed to get 3 goals ahead tonight. 2 others didn't & being only 1 nil up they both went on to let a goal in & only draw.

  • We made hard work of that in the second half. Gilbert was good, but I felt the changes made us a bit predictable and one dimensional. Instead of trying to pass it around, and use pace on the flanks, it all got a bit direct. Chuks was winning a lot in the air, but Miles wasn't getting the second balls

Our goal came from a corner created when we tried to play football, with a nice move involving Gilbert and TC. Gilbert looks a classy player, 2 very nice passes to TC and the excellent corner

I was surprised how solid Posh were at the back, and they have real pace up front.

I'm not sure you understand the rules of football based on this terrible take
  • What a difference from a few weeks back. Having a full squad to choose from has made it a new ball game.
  • Everyone is coming into form for us, Ramsey man of the match and Gillesphie’s best game in a Charlton shirt.

    Some huge games coming up.
