    Another great home win.

We were slow to get going, great to see AMB make a great interception and the took a tactical injury for everyone to get a team talk and we never looked back.

Fitness wise this team is probably the best we've had for years, they all looked like they could've kept going.

    Onwards and upwards COYR!

Am I the only one who thinks AMB’s save wasn’t a save?
I think he never actually touched the ball, it seemed to me it came off the attackers shin.
Any way, if that ‘was’ the case it was certainly AMB’s intervention that caused the miss control….so in effect he still prevented a shot on goal.

TC played like Raheem Sterling in his pomp. The positioning, upper body strength and knitting play together.

Ramsay has a very high ceiling. Makes you feel like there are two of him on the pitch at times. His defensive skills are as strong as his silky control and dribbling skills.

AMB came off his line twice and saved us once. He saved a certain goal and deserves a lot of praise.

Awful pitch and weather, but an excellent win. Well done lads.

Only going by what I saw in real time but I thought he did play the ball. Outstanding either way. Would normally have ended in a goal or a penalty.

Looked like he def touched the ball away from the guys feet, and was a great bit of keeping, could have resulted in a pen if he mistimed anything

Classic centre forward display from Godden and a clinical finish. TC caused them lots of problems, he is so strong now and uses his body well to shield the ball. What a strike leading up to the second goal! Coventry and Jones looked a class above.

AMB's save and subsequent "injury" led to a much improved performance and a deserved opening goal. We look a lot fitter now and it was great to see Berry running hard right up until he was replaced. Great finish for his goal too.

Happy for Gillesphey after the mistake last week. He put in a solid performance and apart from the big error in the last game has been playing really well.

Nathan Jones' Red Army! Sorry I doubted you.

What a difference a win makes on here. After a poor result its almost poisonous. I'm enjoying CL at the moment.

    Long may it continue.

A by and large stress free win. Lovely stuff.

The game could have gone very differently indeed when they inexplicably messed up the two on one vs AMB, who pulled off a fantastic bit of goalkeeping to claim the ball. We looked really disjointed up to that point: Edwards -among others - was misplacing passes to players who weren't even in the same book, let alone on the same page. (At this point I'd like to say that he and everyone else had a good game - this was just what I noticed in the first half hour! Kayne Ramsay was a culprit, too.)

Thankfully, our little tactical injury/bollocking saw us wise up: we started to threaten with more pace; the defence's zonal awareness improved, and Coventry again placed the pace of play on his back. All of this combined to see us nullify Stevenage and consistently apply our own pressure. Great work from TC and Coventry for the first goal - and a real bit of poaching from the excellent Matty Godden - and... well, it looked like the light went out of Stevenage's play from thereon in.

We could have had three or four in the second half, and I never felt remotely like we were conceding. Every player put in a big shift, but special mention for Coventry and Godden for me, today. Coventry is like if George Dobson had a bit more vision, while Godden was a constant thorn because of his movement.

But what impressed me most was the team's cohesion as a whole. Loads of stuff was tried that could have been great if it came off, and the players- after looking like strangers early on - were clearly working well together. Jones has to take credit, and it feels a very, very long time since I was fuming at Charlton station after we lost to Crawley.

If this continues... dare I believe? COYR.

From my vantage point in the Covered End I didn’t think it was a save but rather a touch from the attacker, but it felt impolite to point it out at the time.

From block F in the Covered End lower, I saw it as definitely a save, a beautiful, fantastic, match winning, mother of all saves!

From Charlton TV looked got a hand which then caused the ball to clip the other players heel

Outstanding display by Godden and Coventry. Jones has them playing as a team and I couldn’t think who should come off as they were all playing well some more than others of course.. there is a real fight about this team.

I agree on TC, excellent now. Just  a note for those who say Dixon should be on the bench. I would say he is now where TC was about 2/3 years ago. Potential but physically slight and easily turned over. Needs more time.

Time for us as fans to step up now. The players deserve to see less empty seats and more noise from the stands.
I would really hope to see a decent gate for the next Saturday game. Exeter not the most exciting opponents but it's 3pm Saturday and we are now in play off places.

I think so to. But Ashley put them under pressure, which brought about the mistake.

[Having seen the replay Ash got a hand to which led to the mis control. Great intervention!
  • AMB’s one on one save and “injury” feel like a real sliding doors moment for our season. It feels important. I feel like we really kick on from here

well done well done the boys, each & every player put a shift in,did tho think one of them stray passes is gonna result in a goal from them, but yep after the AMB cramping we regrouped & talking of AMB what a save, expected of a keeper but doing it well with the timing & 2 players going for it,take a bow…great finish from Berry, made that look easy seen them go over…Coventry best game I think I’ve seen him play, great shit housery from LB at the end, just hope this squad can drag us over the playoff line, they have shown they have it in them, just hope that the one bit of puzzle that we never did in the window doesn’t come back & bite us on the arse…,anyways as said well done to NJ & the boys…let’s hope it’s onwards n upwards

An outstanding piece of goalkeeping. I was convinced it would end up with a penalty or red card - perfectly timed.
