Just a handful of glowing reviews about Etete on CardiffLife:
What happened to waiting for someone to pull on the shirt before judging them? Or does that only apply when they come with good reviews from their previous club?
Less than half of the Ahadme figure was upfront, around 300k. The rest of it is based on goals scored and us getting promotion, so I wouldn't worry too much about us paying out for those
DK going out on loan I could see happening if he's stuck behind Miles,TC,Ahadme, Godden,Hylton and anything they can get out of Chuks. 6 months in League 2 playing every week could be ideal for him.
I look at that forward line and think we're not scoring many goals.

I held that view when Fraeye was appointed manager.

If that is true, it still feels like we’ve overpaid, based on what he’s managed to produce so far. Hopefully he’ll be the next one to start showing a bit more.
Anyone (who are non Charlton), who's contract expires in the summer, you'll take?
Don't know a lot about him but Dan Crowley at Notts County is out of contract in the summer, is an attacking midfielder, should be in his prime at 27, has played a number of games this season (although just returned from a short injury), has decent L2 numbers so I guess is worth a look.
Nathan Baxter at Bolton is a London lad and a decent keeper so maybe we could tempt him back closer to home..
Stephen Humphreys was only given a year at Barnet in the summer, no chance of getting him in Jan and prob an extension option I would imagine but he is one that would have improved our team this season for definite.
Stephen Sessignon would be a good stand in for Ramsey when he is injured, better than Watson for sure.
Tyler Bindon at Reading looks the stand out to me but will go to much higher things. Likewise Chelsea's Harvey Vale did very well at this level last season but will likely stay at Chelsea or move somewhere higher than us.
Baxter and Crowley are good shouts. Both from excellent academies at youth level, and have matured into good players in their league. Crowley is one of the best players in league2 I'd say.
I know people aren't a fan of individual stats, but he has a pass accuracy of 92% and has 9 G/A in 15 games. I think he would be a brilliant signing for any team in this league and would add something.
Crowley, Aasgaard, Joel Randall would be the 3 I'd really like to see us sign. Aasgaard and Randall would of course both cost fees.
Another I would like to think we have an eye on is Ricky-Jade Jones of Peterborough. Only 22, he's absolutely rapid and out of contract this summer. Is nowhere near the finished article, and needs serious work on his finishing, but a player that could really develop. Quite out of favour in Peterborough atm, and may fancy a change of scenery.

Kanu being behind Ahadme and Hylton is utterly criminal .

Oh I agree , I'm just going off recent squads because that looks to be the current order of things. I'd rather have DK and Godden off the bench personally and then use the slot they've been using for Hylton to have Terry Taylor involved.
Could probably hide Kanu behind a combination of Hylton (porky) and Ahadme (lanky) but hide and seek is the only reason to have him behind them and no idea why, unless injured, he is not on the bench as he offers more goal threat than either, the pressing of ahadme and can add pace and width as a sub in a way neither can
I assume hylton gets a bench spot to add niggle at the end of a game and see it out, surely godden can do that, and ahadme to add height and hold up if leaburn needs to go off (which he does ineffectively). Neither can replace a tiring TC though and kanu can
Surely DK is injured/ill at the moment? Was our best player in the cameo vs Crawley and is the only forward option off the bench with any pace whatsoever

I agree with Hylton. Ahadme being on the bench gives leaburn a breather. If we had Kanu on the bench against Wycombe, he could have replaced small on the right. Having both has and Hylton on the bench is pointless
I doubt we’re going to sign any midfielders or strikers this window. If we had money I’d be trying to tempt Marc Leonard away from Birmingham as he’s not been starting for them.
If Etete is a possibility I hope it doesn’t mean Jones will want to return to lumping it forward.
We already have two tall forwards. Having another wouldn't automatically mean "lumping it forward".
We currently mix it up, using pace to and short on the ground passing to move the ball forward as well as high balls and throw-ins and it seems to be working well.
Sounds to me like Etete is agent talk, and said agent has unsurprisingly identified the Charlton senior management and recruiting people as easily persuaded mug punters. Additionally I don’t see how Charlton director and Peterborough United fanatic Ed Warrick would do anything to undermine his beloved Posh.

Does Etete have any pace or skill?
And is he fit?
That’s true but looking at what Cardiff fans think I don’t think he has twinkle toes.
Joe Taylor hasn't been especially involved for Luton , getting 5-10 mins bench cameos. I doubt they'd loan him out anyway because they don't have much depth up top at the moment.
We could try and go for that May fella at Birmingham, pretty nippy, got 8 goals so far, but not a first choice striker, could be tempted by coming back to London?

Anyone willing to homeschool their kids to help this get this over the line?

How do you know that is a fact?

we haven’t missed him
