Despite all the unarguable progress that has been made under Jones, you still get the feeling that the attacking game plan boils down to “keep it tight until we can bring Chuks on”.
Provided he can remain fit enough to have an impact on a regular basis, it's not a bad tactic.
Small inexplicably keeps the ball in play when it would’ve made sense to concede the throw and loses it, does really well to recover and take the Reading player out, or we were going to be broken on there.
Terrible refereeing there, if you aren’t sending him off play the advantage
Even if you are going to send him off you could still play advantage.
Nope, game has to stop to send a player off
Can't the ref wait for the play to come to a natural stop and then go back and bin off the player? He can do that for a yellow so why not a red? Otherwise the ref is potentially denying a team a goal-scoring opportunity himself ... and so should show himself a red card! 🤣
The best chance for teams to score against us, does seem to be more from a worldy than slow patient build up - There have been a handful of times this season, notably against Reading and Wigan where we've been caught out a bit.
Whereas today there have been times where the opposition have fanied about with it on the edge of the area, and we've basically packed out the defence... No way through that way.

But there's nothing like taking a comment out of context, is there? 😀
Beautiful cross that was
