Surely if he wanted a narrower pitch they'd just make the markings narrower rather than build a narrower infrastructure that restricts future changes. More likely that the images are deceptive.
If it were my club, they'd be a redgra pitch surround.
I’m hoping they won’t put the badge back in the astroturf. Don’t like the opposition, or anyone, walking all over it. Put it anywhere but on the ground.
Must say, that white sealant work around the pitch makes my one time pathetic attempt to seal the gap between the bath and the tiling look pretty professional in comparison.
Must say that with the first match being played on 3rd August against Portsmouth, the pitch don't look all that impressive in some of those shots, hopefully it is quick growing...🤞 However, The Valley always looks great...
All in all looks like we have been given a proper glow up. Many thanks to the owners for the investment, it is easy to take for granted, but when you travel the country and see water pouring through our oppo club’s stands’ roofs etc and despite looking great from the outside needing repair inside, appears to prove that the current owners do want to get things right on every front 👏👏👏👏 Thank you for the photos @Henry Irving

Grass grows very quickly this time a year. Having to cut my lawn twice a week at present. With the attention and equipment lavished on The Valley pitch I’m convinced it’ll look stunning.

Wondered where I'd left my jockstrap.
.
guessing that’s intentional and probably at NJ’s request
I don't think it's that much bigger than before actually, especially if they paint the line right along the edge like before
