When Leeds had the same pitch changed last season they built new dugouts, subs bench etc. I wonder if this is happening additionally
I can't see that happening until we are nearer the premier league, when it'll have to happen. Apart from anything else they would have announced it if it was happening, as it will affect season ticket holders at the front of the West stand
Well, net of VAT that's £15k plus straight off the bottom line.
My understanding is that it was only existing hospitality users plus box users with a guaranteed parking space for the new season. If that's true, they will probably be losing some new hospitality business as well - people won't buy it if parking is not available. Sponsors schlepping their guests/customers up the road from the ASDA car park is not a good look. We are all familiar with the phrase "sweating the assets" but they are going to have to whip the arse off the fan zone to recoup the losses, let alone turn a profit.
(Unless, of course, all the players and wags will be on a park and ride from Sparrows Lane!)

Will be hard to measure as the idea is to boost the matchday experience and have people buy more tickets rather than make money off the fan zone itself. I'm all for anything to improve the experience, even if it's not my bag.

The club has access to 50/60 parking spaces in Valley grove just after the tower block .

I have hosted Corporate customers at a number of football matches across London; from Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, Fulham and Charlton. Never had a client drive or ask about it as an option. The hassle of driving in London, getting in and out of a footy car park and the risk of vandalism means they have all got public transport or the odd one a driver who drops them round the corner somewhere. I wonder if the car park is ever full

I was going to say, can't imagine any London stadium with decent car parking except for those at the very top of the business or players

It is always full. Sometimes (deliberately?) overbooked. Two other groups of people that sit near us in Club 1905 said, for varying reasons, they would not re-book for next season unless they got a car park slot.

It will be used by players and staff who get there early and stay after and by people whom are disabled/elderly the most I suspect. Guests/Corporates/Customers are no more likely to want to use it than anybody else. Just cut back on the number of players places. Easy.

Ahh so that’s why Jones wants a smaller squad next season 😉😀

The nuances on this passed me by.

Another layer down.
My sources tell me these will be used to knit the grass into the pitch so we may see some green shoots as early as next week.
But whatever...the old place looks stunning even with tractors and substrate all over the place, getting homesick already...roll on next season...
