We've got some great players. With a tweak here and there and a new playing surface, I reckon we'll be ripping it up next season 😉
I think the idea is that we don’t have to rip it up so often.

Isn’t the funding contingent on operational under soil heating ?
Leyton Orient do not have undersoil heating at present.
Why do we care about Orient?

I care about what we're doing - we have the system in place just needed the boiler, hopefully the grant covers both.

    Not that I've heard.

Undersoil heating is a requirement for premier league clubs, I believe.
  • In reality these days it's probably only one or two games a season which might be affected by a frozen pitch anyway, so it's not something that bothers me especially. It's not as if we get massive fees for TV games in L1 either.
  • Rather than waste my time watching the men's team I climbed over a wall at the Valley and had a chat with some bloke who was hanging around.

They said they dont know if there's a boiler going in.

With the pipes, they did tests and doesnt look like there are any leaks in them as the pipes are holding pressure but they won't know for sure until the pitch gets dug up.
  • Not very green having to install  and run a gas boiler😊

Hang on. So the women's team are paying a legally binding £1million a year for a new Hungarian vegan carvery to be built on the pitch?
    Are you stalking me?
    Eh?

Not since you got the court order. No.
Well my joke went down like a led balloon.

Seeing as its for Charlton i'll dust off the working nuclear fusion reactor out of Shurgaard i'd been saving for a rainy day and we can fit it under the east stand.

  • What’s the deal with the small patches of grass. ?
Probably where the pitch sprinklers are located.
  • What’s the deal with the small patches of grass. ?
Guess they are where watering system is located.

A led balloon will only go down if there’s a hole in it.  A lead balloon on the other hand…😉

Apologies, but orders were orders 🤷‍♂️

Not an issue at the moment, but our dugouts will need rebuilding if we ever make the Premier League. They need to be bigger, and evenly spaced either side of the half way line.
