sounded like a whistle blew when Thierry Small snuck in to take the ball off defender and slip May in for the third

REG looked excellent! Alongside Coventry, they are so incisive with the ball.

Kanu played well too and an excellent finish.

A few improvements next season (especially upgrading from Isted) and it could be an exciting one.

I think a few players thought it too, as Ladapo didn’t celebrate first, and was staring at the ref, as were some of the Cheltenham players.

Very poor second half performance but got the job done in the end.  Thought we were going to balls it up yet again but  we got the breaks for a change. We are a way better side than Cheltenham and a win against Carlisle and something from Fleetwood should dispel any relegation worries. Some of the newer signings look good but the squad will need a lot of work if we are to be promotion worthy next season.

The start of the second half we looked tired, then losing REG altered our shape. Special word for Bakinson, he probably should have been on ten minutes earlier but we regained the initiative, when he got us further up the pitch. Great win, lets follow it up on Saturday, then one more win and the club can start preparing a squad for next season.

Sorry but going to be critical of NJ.

Young Corey had an absolute nightmare tonight.  His passing was just awful. He should have been taken off at least 20 minutes before he was. And as soon as Bakinson came on things improved.

Huge shout outs to Small - his fitness and athletism was unreal tonight. Sign him up now please - Coventry and Tennai Watson - considering he is playing with an injury he was very good.

Hopefully we are nearly safe now.
100% - anderson he had an absolute shocker and looks like he needs a rest - he's been a big part of the recovery over the last few weeks but last couple of games virtually every pass has been off

We deserved that win, no ifs or buts.

Cheltenham had to come out swinging second half and that they did.

Impressive thing for me was the team attitude, conceded that sloppy goal and had the drive to keep at it and get the win we needed.

May should have had 4 goals tonight but he kept at it and NJ keeping him on and getting that late goal will give him confidence for sure that his manager trusts him!

Small, Mac and Coventry were good along with Kanu. Got a well deserved goal!

Fantastic result and onto Saturday...got my own birthday meal which I'd now rather cancel and go to football!

Winning ugly is what we can now do. The whole team were on point tonight..but Small was standout for me along with Coventry (again). Bakinson was excellent when he came on....3 points towards safety, next season could be very good. NJ summed it up very well. Have we finally found a manager who can?

Relief. Small brilliant. Some players looked emotionally fatigued. It’s been a real emotional roller coaster of late.

Wonder if NJ will give the players a couple of days off, looked jaded 2nd half, its been a tough run

If that win was a bird, she'd be a 10 pinter and 24 stone - ugly and big, but you'd take her home any day of the week.

Reckon 2 wins and 2 draws will probably do it now. 3 and 2 to be sure.

Mid table mediocrity is where we're heading. Never thought I'd be so pleased about that.

Don’t like the sound of Chuks having picked up a little something. Chuks doesn’t do little somethings.
Sounds like he's popped down Tesco to buy a cake to share around the dressing room.
  • Massive result. Jones has definitely improved us.

    What a relief.

I’m not sure if Mendonca ever really jumped that high but I reckon Bakinson’s been watching old videos and copied the technique. What with the pass too, could that be our goal of the season?

Relief tonight as opposed to joy last week at Derby. Pleased for Kanu who improves every game. Looking forward to him and Miles playing together next season. Also sehat a find Small has been. He looks like he really cares the way he celebrates. Keep it going now Charlton.

I think after tonight that the current bottom 4 will be the 4 that go down. Cheltenham dealt a huge blow if Taylor’s hamstring completely went.
