If this clown is still in charge on Tuesday, The Valley could turn very toxic, very quickly.

That's as may be, but the team still needs to win, so maybe wait till full time eh...🤔
I’m not the whole Valley crowd, but yes I’m sure we will withhold any potential displeasure until the end of the match.
    You could be Tuesday...🙄
    Fair point, well made 🤣
  • My question is that as he shows nothing during the match why stand in the technical area ?
Surely sitting 20 rows back in the stand would give him a much better view of the whole pitch.
You get a very limited view from the touchline and unless you're passing on instructions to the players what's the point of being there ?
Yes, one our old managers used to sit in the west stand.

So Shrewsbury have sacked Matt Taylor, who has done better than MA. So in conclusion Shrewsbury have higher expectations than us.
Sounds like they've got more of an elite winning mentality.

Keith Peacock would do that when working with Curbs.

Do any of the Comms team work on a Sunday, especially after a match day?

    Announcement tomorrow is my guess
I’d go along with that. 9am tomorrow is my thinking.
Changed my mind. Next 30 mins are crucial
  • Our SMT have a problem working Monday to Saturday. You expect them to work on a Sunday and also say we got it wrong again.
    😂😂😂😂😂😂

This is a professional football club (hard to believe sometimes I know) but people will work 7 days a week if needed, especially for something as important as hiring/firing the manager.

If the Shrewsbury hierarchy and comms team are working today so will Charlton’s be.

They’ve posted a couple of quick tweets about the women’s team but nothing new on the OS since the post game articles yesterday.

Probably stick in a form for overtime I bet after their board meeting.
  • I've been on the sauce since lunchtime and not been told anything.

Is there a WhatsApp group I can join?
You could join my allotment WhatsApp group if you like? Some great tips on there.
  • We just need to get rid now. Don’t rush into getting a new ‘manager’. Temporarily appoint from within or, preferably, get somebody like Chris Powell in to see out this season. With the players available he would get us playing nice football (or, at least get us to avoid relegation) and then decide what to do next. They could be doing their homework while Powelly keeps us in the division. I reckon Chris would be up for that. Not sure how available he is though but you get my drift.

After having a dose of Dushitelet, he'll not touch this lot with a bargepole.

    Good if he is gone.

It generally has not been the sacking of the managers in recent years that has been the problem, the problem has been the selection of one dreadful manager after another whom are frankly not worthy of managing our club on the whole.

The following should just never have been employed by us imo:

    - Bob Peters
    - Guy Luzin
    - Karel Fraeye
    - Russell Slade
    - Ben Garner
    - Dean Holden (albeit I think he is a wonderful chap who was hard done by)
    - Michael Apples

The following should arguably have been given more time /ability to pick their own assistants etc imo
    - Karl Robinson
    - Johnnie Jackson
    - Nigel Adkins

The following left of their own volition
    - Jose Riga
    - Lee Bowyer

The issue is, that even including the 3 I reckon could have been given more time... Out of 12 managers, none have really gone on to have any great success after leaving us.
  • I’m not sure about that. We have made good signings. That shows intent.

Bob Peeters had us in the Championship play-offs for a time, just got screwed by injuries and a small squad.
  • You would hope Andy Scott would have been monitoring who was available for at least the last few weeks, in case it didn't improve.
