He's clearly a maverick/madman and it didn't really work out on the pitch, but he saved us when no one else looked up for it! After nearly three years as Charlton Athletic Owner, I am pleased to announce the handover to new owners. During my time with Charlton, I sincerely appreciated the excitement, gratitude and connection with you as fans and supporters of this great club. The welcome when I purchased the club was incredible and I am hopeful the new ownership receives the same warm reception as well.
My time at Charlton Athletic was not without its challenges. I shared the frustrations and disappointment that stemmed from the results we faced. The journey has indeed been bittersweet, painted with both criticism and appreciation, each equally important in its own right.
Thank you for supporting the club's progression in some key areas the past three years including advancing the women's game when we turned the women's team full-time professional in 2021, engaging in the early excitement and togetherness around the infamous 'Our Club, Your Car' campaign and watching the continued progression of the academy and academy players.
One memory, in particular, stands out among the rest - the electrifying match in the Carabao Cup against Manchester United. The echoing chants from our loyal fans at Old Trafford still resound in my ears. Facing a club of such magnitude on their home turf was no small feat, but our team, coaches and support staff turned the challenge into a display of incredible perseverance and unshakeable belief. It was a monumental evening, filled with adrenaline, suspense and immense pride. That night, we showed the world what Charlton Athletic is capable of.
I would be remiss if I did not express my deepest gratitude to our dedicated and hard-working staff and players. Your tireless efforts and commitment have been the lifeblood of this club. You have shown remarkable resilience in the face of adversity and your passion for the game has been a constant source of inspiration. To Dean Holden, Karen Hills, Steve Avory, as well as Peter Storrie, who has done an excellent job since his appointment in February, to our sponsors who trusted and supported us throughout this journey; we are grateful for the role you played in elevating the club to its current stature.
As I pass the reigns over to SE7 Partners, I wish the new owners all the best in leading this great club back to the Championship and eventually the Premier League again.
In closing, while the journey has been demanding, it has also been immensely rewarding. Charlton Athletic is more than a football club. It is a community, a family, a bond that unites, from the staff to the players, from the sponsors to the most crucial part of our team - you, the fans. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of this journey.
I move on from Charlton Athletic, not with a heavy heart, but with a sense of pride. I am leaving this club knowing that its future is bright and full of potential.

Really don't get the lols. He was not a southall, Parnell, Elliot, dentist. He saved us but had a big mouth and over promised. Glad he has gone but also glad he saved us. Just go back to the court case match thread. We were very close to being extinct.
In a parallel universe I would like to see how ESI 2 would have fared. Farnell & Elliot trying to run a football club when neither had the money or experience. Dont forget Farnell is a solicitor & registered with the SRA. He couldn't have just done a runner like Nimer.

I’m guessing it points more to some behind the scenes conversations in the last few months with people who have real history of us. A relatively small positive indication of listening to people with some experience?
So we have 3 or 4 big money men involved, a couple of ex CAFC people, a lifelong fan, a couple of people who have worked on the boards of professional sports teams already, a group who claim to specialise in developing young players, and CM the master puppeteer.
Look they might not be some people's cup of tea, but the sheer amount of money and experience in the club now should show that they are serious about the club, at least in the short to medium term

This. It feels like a positive takeover to me, at the very least we have experience in key positions. Time will tell of course but I think we're much better off than we were under RD, ESI v1+2 and TS.

Pleased and hopefully we are now back on a pathway, I gracefully wish TS all the best and hope he succeeds! I hope tge shareholders/owners really do have our best interest at heart!
I am pleased we have Paul Elliot although an Non Exec director and a sensible appt and the new owners bringing in those who have history woth our club! It feels similar to when Lee Bowyer came back to the fold. It was a very proud moment to have witnessed the day at wembley when BFG bought tears of joy to all our fans, who have shown loyalty over the years.

Well that's that then, TS moves on and not before time. Was he a wrong un, probably not, was he out of his depth, absolutely. I don't know what the new lot are about but there seems to be a lot of business and Football club experience in there. Let's just hope they aren't as naive or belligerent Sandgaard or Dutchelet, both of whom knew dick all about English football and wouldn't listen when their business models were collapsing in front of their very eyes.
