Started off the day at the Qatar vs Senegal game. Quite a strange atmosphere at first. More empty seats at this one than I’ve seen at other games.
One of the theories as to why there’s few empty seats at each game is because the locals bought a lot of them up at a cheap rate, but then just haven’t turned up.
They definitely got more into it as Qatar grew into the game, but they never looked like getting anything from it.
Then I made the two hour journey north by public transport for the England game. I was travelling from the most southern stadium to the most northern stadium - but got there without issue.
The game was absolutely abysmal for the most part. Don’t think there’s much I can add that hasn’t already been said. Had great seats behind the goal….just a shame there was hardly any action!

We didn’t need to be at our absolute best during that fixture. Save that for the knockouts
I’m at Argentina vs Mexico tonight. Can’t wait. Both countries have tens of thousands of fans over here, so I’m going to head down to Lusail early to join the party. Has a proper big game feel about this one, especially knowing that Argentina must get a result.
Has anyone maintained a 100% record for catching every game live on the box?
It's a bit easier to have the commentary on the radio with the wfh thing and I've adjusted my lunchtimes to catch the second half of the 1pm games live but I'm quite jealous of those who've retired and are able to plan their days around 4 games a day if they want!

If Ireland used to be an England B team, Australia are pretty much a Scotland A team!
Souttar should perhaps be playing for Scotland instead of Australia, but then Lyndon Dykes should perhaps be playing for Australia rather than Scotland!
Denmark under pressure now. Assuming they lose against France, they'll need to beat Australia to progress. That's the problem with only drawing your first game
