Not sure if it has been mentioned already but another advantage England have is we've no yellow cards so far. They get wiped out after the quarter finals so we haven't got to be on twinkle toes on Sunday and, if we get through, for the quarters as well.
Don't understand why Ghana wernt playing corner flag football with a couple minutes left, you're not gonna score twice - gotta try and stop dirty uruguay
Ball in, ball out, ball out but 'shadowing the line' if seen from space. Decision has been made, the Germans go home and we all move on. What we do know is that there are going to be some more weird and wonderful 'interventions' by the wizards of VAR before this competition is done.
If one of those decisions favour our antipodean friends, would that make them the wizards of Oz?
was a great end to the Ghana v Uruguay match. hardly ever happens that both teams are throwing the kitchen sink at it at the same time! I'm glad S.Korea are through and even gladder that Uruguay are out!
S Korea beating an already qualified Portugal isn't that much of a shock anyway. Indeed Wales would have privately been gutted that England didn't beat the US to make the final game a dead rubber for them, and gone into the final game thinking about the R16 match
It's Charlton Premier League 40 points syndrome, it's amazing how much difference that slight lack of edge makes.
Does that mean the ball was technically still in play?
Yes it does. Perfect example of VAR getting it right. Also perfect example of Souness Neville and co being extremely irritating. Instead of talking about what was possible the best game of the World Cup so far all they could do was winge. Had to turn off
Actually the ball is a lot further in than that picture suggests, either the camera isn’t on the goal line and the goalposts aren’t perpendicular.

A second string England would've still beaten Wales. Personally i think apart from Qatar, Wales have been the worst side at this world cup.

Boy who cried wolf for them diving and rolling about.
Dunno why, but have a feeling that Poland MIGHT cause France problems
Feel sorry for anyone who can’t get excited for it just because it’s in the Winter. This is international football at its absolute best.
Not too much difference.
Both Korea and Japan through to the knockout stages, and doing it the hard way by unexpectedly winning the last game.
Win a match and wait for the flood of tears
Oh dear, what a shame, never mind.
No?

Paul Gascoigne and Son would be an excellent mix in that 3 man midfield
He has got to be in it
You'd have to think that's the end of Serbia's chances... but this World Cup has seen plenty of Golfies...
