No as he'll do a few seasons at City then move on. Nobody will beat Shearer IMO

He will be at Madrid in 3 years time when his 150mio release clause becomes active. Some player!

Good point, didn’t Shearer get a hat trick at 17?

Haalands already got  20 international goals for Norway (he’s 22)  in 21 appearances, Shearer got 30 international goals I think.
  • If he stays fit I think he could set premier league records for the most goals in a premier league season, well he did for me, got 74 goals in one season on Football Manager!

Why would he necessarily go to Madrid, they aren’t the be all and end all nowadays.
Quite how they managed to win The European Cup is IMHO, something of a fluke.
Totally out played by two English clubs in both the semis and the final.
As we all know, the best team doesn’t always win…..and somehow they managed that twice in a row.

It's the aura and history of the club though. Almost every player wants to play for them or Barcelona.

Not to mention Haaland is 22 and already at his 4th professional club, he doesn't stay anywhere for long. Of course he may decide he loves life here and wants to stay for 7-8 years but i'd be pretty surprised if he's not playing in la Liga by the time he's 26.

A lot of players want to play for Guardiola, he isn't going to be at City forever.

Kane is *only* 77 behind. Three or four more seasons should do it, especially if Conte is there for any length of time.

Add in the quarter final they did it 3 times in a row, when does a fluke stop being a fluke?

Still can't get my head round Haaland and Kalvin Philips were born in the same hospital.

Like RVN Haaland will, ultimately be judged on how important his goals are, not how many he gets.  If City don't win the league and or the "Cup with the big ears" it doesn't matter if he scores 30, 40 or even 50 goals in a season.

Oh well, you can’t have everything!

Man City need to find a forward called Wolf to partner him up front, then loan them to us to shore up HMS you know what 😎

    Haaland was born in Leeds.
    At LGI.

When Dortmund had the wunderkind front 3 they were born in Leeds, Sunderland and London.  Only one played for England.

It'll be interesting to see if his frame can support his explosive pace and power. He's honestly too quick and too big, I think he'll start to get more and more injuries as he goes on. Hopefully not though, I'd like to see him just murder every defence

Didn't realise that. Expect Shearer to be beaten then!

He couldn't be more of a Manc if he wore a Parker, played the maracas and lived on the chatsworth estate.

I think he was about 10 before he lived in Norway.

West Ham defended really deep all game and the only time they pressed high, city scored. He will score bundles this season.

    Kane will break Shearers record.

Madrid and Barcelona to a lesser extent, are in massive debt and that cannot go on forever being shored up by the powers that be in Madrid, the shit will hit the fan sooner or later.

As long as he has De Bruyne feeding him with sublime pin point passes (like today), he’s gonna score gazillions.
That partnership has every chance of being unstoppable.

    Haaland was born in Leeds.
Despite which, he turned out to be quite a nice chap by all accounts.

The most impressive bit was the explosive 5 yards of pace that got the penalty, you can sit deep, but still get done

Shame he didn't decide to play for England.

Id pity the Manager having to choose between Kane and Haaland
