To be fair Sandgaard did say the interview process would take time (even perhaps up to pre season) did he not?
Sounds like a recipe for success
That's what I thought at the time. I'd hoped it was a pr smokescreen and a successor was waiting in the wings ready to be announced once enough dust had settled after Jackson's departure but appears not to be the case and that it is very much at candidates being interviewed stage still going by this thread.
It would be madness to get even close to pre season before a manager is in place. TS himself said a big problem last season was getting people through the door late. This year will be a bigger problem as last year players would have seem us as a club on the up and been keen to join. With our performances last season I doubt we are seen as that kind of proposition. TS really needs to get things moving before long otherwise there is the potential for an even bigger problem than last season.
Michael Beale would be a good manager. Links with Aston Villa, and Liverpool and good connections. That's good for decent loans. Clearly a compentent coach, of sufficient stature and knowledge to knock some of TS amateurish notions about football club set up away. Martin Sandgaard would have to defer to Michael Beale's judgement. If Michael Beale did agree to manage at Charlton, surely he would be demanding control over the player selection.
TS would need to set out funds available. I would be surprised if TS does bring MB to Charlton but it would be an excellent appointment.
Martin Sandgaard is clearly keen to ensure that we get a manager who will motivate the team to get maximum touch-downs & points through all four quarters of every game
He is notoriously evasive with his answers and often wrong so not citing him as a reliable source but he seems to be implying that someone has been chosen but now their club needs to be approached.
They are still interviewing. Not sure on anything else.
Don’t think they are that’s all done and dusted they know who they want expect it to be all done in the next 7 days … that’s why TS is planning to come over

So we'll have a new manager by Tuesday? Great if so.

Considering that's come directly from the man making the decisions, I think you're wrong... They are still interviewing. No offers have been accepted as yet.

Don't worry Colin will be rehashing what you said as his own ITK info within hours

Really not seeing anything yet to suggest even a modicum of learning going on
More from Sun Journalist Alan Nixon.

2+2 ………..

Both call each other 'mate' 👀
Nixon now saying we're chasing Garner, the Swindon boss I assume.
