  • I've got no preference over who wins the title. I can say with some confidence though, that for City even winning the title will feel like a failure this season, because of Madrid on Wednesday
  • Fuck sake, so lucky.
  • So fucking lucky. God i hate them.
  • Just waiting for them to get a dodgy late penalty now
  • Point not great for either team
  • Credit to Spurs, they defended very well.

Gives City some breathing space as they can now afford to draw 1 of their remaining games and still win the title.
  • Leeds look doomed.
  • Defense looks woeful.

Leeds have Chelsea, Brighton and Brentford. - They would have to hope 1 or 2 of those sides are on holiday already.

  • Brighton and Brentford certainly not on holiday yet judging by yesterday’s performances
  • Another example of 'if that was Xhaka'.

    Clear and obvious red card
  • Such a constant twist with regards to the relegation battle
  • Leeds have lost their heads. Getting relegated.

Leeds are done. Can't see them getting another point if they keep playing like this.

Will be lucky to end up with 10 men considering some of their tackles and behaviour this game.
  • Everton have turned things around, following a good performance in the Derby with crucial wins
  • I wish Grealish was more selfish. He never shoots
  • That 5th goal was sublime. Foden to Grealish to Sterling.
  • As an England fan I am highly enthused to hear of Foden, Sterling and Grealish's performances today. Perhaps the end of the year will give the three of them a chance to make the front 3 spots their own.

  • Man city are overall still a better side then Liverpool and I don't think that will be changing any time soon.

Both clubs help to bring out the best in each other

This is their record over the past 4 seasons, (Liverpool's defence was decimated by injuries last year), so anyone can see there's very little between them across 4 years.

    18-19
    City 98 points, Liverpool 97.

    19-20
    Liverpool 99, City 81.

    20-21
    City 86, Liverpool 69

    21-22
    City 86, Liverpool 83

    Overall
    City 351, Liverpool 348.

I agree that City are slightly better, they're just that tiny bit more consistent. This year might have been different however if Liverpool had signed Diaz last summer instead of January though.

If City get Haaland this summer though it'll be very hard to see beyond them winning it again next season.

Totally agree although I think they desperately need a CM too. Rodri is decent but I think they need one with energy, someone like Rice. Theyll only have two out and out CMs once Fernandinho goes. And I really don’t think that player is Pogba!
  • Relegation looks like a battle between Leeds and Burnley, both have had a new manager bounce which has worn off at Leeds and maybe starting to wear off at Burnley. I think Leeds will drop.

I'd be surprised if he goes there as i expect he'll go to PSG, but Pogba strikes me as the type of player who would thrive at City. I can imagine that in a side with great players around him, who dominate possession and win most games he'd look great, like he did at Juventus and like he generally does for France. At United he just can't be arsed.

    Burnley:
Spurs away, Villa away, Newcastle home.

    Leeds:
Chelsea home, Brighton home, Brentford away.

Looking at that i don't think Burnley will get much from their next 2 but i'd expect them to win on the last day. Whatever Burnley do though, Leeds need to get 1 more point than them as their GD is far worse.

I agree we would probably see a different player, but I’m not convinced it’s what City needs. In games against the bottom sides it’s fine as they’ll just dominate possession but for the last couple of years IMO they’ve really lacked that energetic workforce in midfield against some of the bigger sides. It was Fernandinho and replacing him is arguably just as important as a striker for me.
  • Football getting a bit too sterile.
