A lot of comments online saying that for that money it would've made more sense to go for Haaland but i don't agree.
Kane is a proven 30-40 goal a season striker in the Premier league, is English and also brings you minimal fuss. He also suits City's style of play more as he can drop deep and pick up the ball and then bring fast attackers into play. Haaland won't do that, as he'll just play on the shoulder of the last man, which won't help when defences go to the Etihad and sit on the edge of their box. Also with Haaland managed by his Dad/Raiola, you just know that if he signed for you there will be summer-long stories in the press every year of him going to Madrid/Barca.
Kane is 28 next week, so they'll probably get 4-5 good years out of him, so with his fee/wages combined, you're basically paying around 50-60m a season to have a world class striker in your side. Easily worth it for a side of their riches.
It's a great move for England Sterling Kane and Foden playing every week for City!!
And maybe even Grealish too.
Walker and Stones in defence. Looking good for the National side.
It could have all been so different if Gerrard had gone to Chelsea.......
apparently Sterling is one of the players that man city are offering the pick of to spurs as part of the deal
although I cant imagine Sterling wanting to go to spurs or spurs matching his wages (£300k a week)
£160m plus Sterling? I doubt that’s happening. Imagine it’s just the money.
no, spurs can apparently pick one of Sterling, Jesus (not sure that'd go down well in those parts), Mahrez or Bernardo Silva and their value would be deducted from the £160m

Villa should ask for Mahrez and or Silva if City want Jack.

Imagine Villa with Mahrez and Silva. Probably wouldn’t happen because of wages etc but would be so weird.
Paul Mullin took the money and 3 year contract. I'm sure there would have been interest in him from L1 and L2 clubs, but they probably weren't offering him such a good deal
Must be weird for Cambridge, to lose their star player to a club TWO divisions lower than where are now
Looks like Phil Parkinson is working on something there. Also signed Harry Lennon - who IMO was at absolute worst, L2 quality. Two decent players from the league above.

He also spent time at Cambridge.
New Ambitious celebrity owners that are going to throw money at the club to get them into the League.
Imagine they're hoping for a big FA Cup run to offset some losses. The BBC would love to stick them on and interview the actors.

I guess with financial backing if Parky fails here, that'll be his management career's chances of a revival burnt.

Not so sure about Lennon, he hardly played in a terrible Southend side that got relegated twice

Harry Wilson from Liverpool to Fulham for a reported £12 Million .. yes, he's a Wales international and is 24, BUT the fees for some of these essentially run of the mill players are getting out of control .. parachute money is to blame of course, weakening the whole structure and integrity of the EFL transfer system, especially the Championship
Joachim Andersen from Lyon to Palace on a 5 year deal.
Hate to say it but what a signing for them, he was really good for Fulham last season
Hopefully he will add another relegation to his CV.
not yet a done deal .. he's a decent defender with a lot of experience around Europe, only 25 .. he should tighten up the Palace defence .. 5 years is a long contract, Vieira must really fancy him .. reported 19-25 £Million deal IF it goes ahead, Spurs are supposedly also interested

Conor Gallagher might be Palace bound as well
Excellent news - another with relegation on his CV.

I don't see 12m as that bad a fee for a player with championship and PL experience who is also an international.

He's a good shot stopper but you need to be more than that to be wanted by top clubs.

Ipswich and Sunderland miss out.
We will probably see some more incomings for the Millers now.
Didnt see that one coming
Does this mean Tucker could be on his way out?
