A very strange Transfer window and rebuild indeed. Similar to buying a house or making an investment, if it doesn't go to plan you emphasise the 'long term' focus of your plan.
Opening day of the season and we've only managed to sign the keeper, Dobson and Clare as new additions. That won't win us promotion this season
If we don’t make any more additions to the squad I’d agree with you but I can’t because I don’t have a crystal ball. I’m therefore reserving judgement for the time being 😉.
Personally think as long as Henderson isn’t on big money, which I doubt he will be, then he’ll provide great guidance for Harness this year, as well as experienced cover in case something happens to Craig.
Let’s hope the Kirk rumour is true as well and things start falling into place.
Kirk transfer 100% happening on Monday , this has come directly from Crewe’s head of communication
So it's not done.

I doubt it will be after Nigel's comments about taking time to build a team , what with 10 weeks being wasted even though Steve Gallen is working 7 days a week. Confusing.
How can you possibly know it’s been wasted, you have no idea what’s been going on.

Bet Gallen would love to hear you say that he has been wasting time for the last 10 weeks or whatever, he is well known as a hard worker, and he will be doing all he can to get any deals done and dusted as soon as possible.
I hesitate to mention it but I see that the team from Suffolk have signed Louie Barry, the 18 year old winger/striker, on a season’s loan from Aston Villa. This is the lad that Barcelona pinched from West Brom at 16 and who Villa bought for just under £1million, with several million of potential add-ons. My friend’s Villa-supporting husband is a close friend of the family.
Barry is regarded as one of the outstanding 18 year olds in the country and, provided he’s not knackered by some big, hairy League 1 centre-half, his pace and trickery are likely to prove a handful at this level.
He’s a player that all clubs will be aware of but Ipswich really are pushing the boat out.
We need a survey to find out what the response would have been if we’d signed him
- a statement of intent by the club, really going for it signing players of this quality, or - severe bed wetting that our primary winger/back up striker was going to be a kid who’d just turned 18 and had never played a league game anywhere.

Still, will be supporting us loudly and proudly.
Famewo was here last season.

No way would Harness, someone with no league experience, be a realistic challenger to MacGillivray
Sign him & Lowery next week & suddenly our v.quiet summer would very quickly turn into a great one!
Kirk will be on the Crewe team sheet at 2pm this afternoon.
charton life after young keeper goes on loan and we are linked to an experienced no 2…..what a waste of wages
