Shrewsbury sign Harry Chapman on loan from Blackburn
Can't have done. I keep being told that no-one can be signed until Jan 4th.
(Waits for someone to tell me that it's just the registration that can't be activated until the 4th)

I knowwwwww. So why haven't we done the same with Schwartz. I keep being told it's a done deal & we're just waiting for the EFL to open, but other clubs don't seem to have a problem announcing "done deals".
Maybe we have. It’s always been the way at Charlton that deals get announced move everything is officially completed, including all the routine paperwork. Just because no one has personally called you to tell you the deal is done doesn’t mean it isn’t.
Plus we/the club have been burned before. Look at the nonsense with Hemed where everything had in fact been signed and sealed but it took a donkeys age to actually be confirmed. There's other examples too - IIRC back in Curbs' time Cahill was literally on the way to sign on the line when it fell through?
I'd rather wait until it's confirmed and approved. It's not like he will be playing any sooner either way.
Decent signing. Bodo Glimt destroyed the Norwegian league this season and had 3 star players. One went to AC Milan, one has gone to Watford, which just leaves their main striker and top scorer.

Probably got a few teams looking at him as well at the moment too, think it was Swansea who I saw linked with Junker last time
Amazing how it can suddenly come together for a Striker in a team, 26-years old, hadnt even gotten close to double figures until their last season!!

Jem Karacan has joined Scunthorpe after being released from a club in Turkey. A player I know that @LargeAddick has followed as he is the son of a cafe owner that Large & a friend used to visit on matchdays for breakfast.
Remember when Rooney was a youngster at Everton. He played regularly as a 16 year old. I recall the manager saying at the time, " if they're good enough, they're old enough."
The problem now is big clubs buy players and sit them on the bench as a back up, or just to be sold further down the line for an inflated fee.
Unlike with new cars, where they devalue the minute you take ownership (or Charlton player's), footballers increase in value immediately as they sign for a bigger club.
Redrobo, FYI Morgan has been on loan to Ebbsfleet.
Morgan Rogers was at Ebbsfleet?
I presumed you were talking about Albie Morgan too actually
That is a problem when the previous quotes are hidden I suppose, but without reading them, you must have been a bit confused as to what on earth we were talking about. 🤔

Matty James has gone on loan from Leicester to Coventry. Played 15 games this season on loan to Barnsley during which time they picked up an incredible 31 points. They only took 3 points from the 8 games he didn't play in.
His career has been blighted by any number of injuries including a cruciate ligament rupture that put him out for 463 days during which time he missed 48 games. He then missed the same number of games through two separate issues with his achilles tendons.
Barnsley fans must be gutted to lose him especially to a Championship rival.

Weird one. Why would Leicester prefer to send him to Coventry rather than Barnsley? Unless it's purely for financial reasons...
