Because we have players who run into the box but once confronted by a defender they try to pass the ball. The key is to do what Doughty did running from our box into the other side's half, but to do it in their box. Take on defenders in the box. They may make a clean tackle but then the player you would have passed it to can challenge again himself. There's a good chance however that the tackle will be mistimed or if well timed, the attacker can push the ball to one side and 'draw a foul.' If I was a coach I'd do penalty winning training. It's not easy to suddenly turn it on like that. The time for intensive training was the 3 weeks before the season started

It seems clear that midtable clubs don’t give a shit. So it’s not that we are playing that well, it’s that everyone else gives no f##cks. Which means I expect those around us to keep gaining points too.

Our result against Cardiff meant that they are not completely out of it, although they need to win. That ought to help us, although you never know. They certainly aren't all that. Stand up to them physically and watch Wallace carefully and they don't have much else.
