With respect to Tonga and the USA the group starts here for England. Two from England, France and Argentina will get through this group. England must ensure they are one of the two.

If i read the tables correctly, if we win the group, it will likely be a England v Wales quarter, then possibly a Eng v SA semi. Though still many twists and turns. If we come second, then likely Eng v Aus quarter then Eng v NZ semi. Would prefer the first scenario tbh.
No . Unfortunately if we win this group we'll play the losers of the Australia Wales match and then New Zealand in the semis. Best to lose v France but won't happen.
There is ultimately no point in trying to avoid teams in the quarters, just keep winning games, we should have far too much for France and Argentina. Just need to keep the winning mentality going

Its a stroke of Genius from Jamie Joesph assembling nearly the entire Japan squad into a domestic side, you can just tell how well the players know each others games
Fabulous result for Japan, completely deserved. Always expected this to be a tough one. Being at home in a World Cup is such an adventure. Interesting times.
I like Rugby, but one of the big things that gets me about it is the amount of dead time within the game, for example, Japan got a scrum awarded in the 77th minute today, and they just wasted time setting and re setting and re re setting the scrum that it was taken until deep into the 79th . Too much dead time allowed in the game.

Oh, wait, carry on....
The angle of this catch.
They are really giving the Irish a tough game. They have deserved that try this half
Could screw both Ireland and Scotland this if Japan can beat Scotland, Ireland wiukd get NZ. Yet another QF exit for Ireland?
Thios sorta opens up the group, in that it looks like it could be a repeat of Japan v SA in Quarters, and also likely NZ v Ireland in quarters.
The bad news for Ireland is that no side has ever lost a group match and then gone on to win the tournament
