uncertainty isn't going to help us bag deals, other clubs who don't have that problem will have an advantage and we are in dire need, but I guess we can still go through the motions, not the same though is it?
Think the EFL should have more transparency over the process and a set timescale to work to for various stages.
I'm pretty sure they are obliged to set a timescale and will have. You and I just don't know what it is. Those directly involved in the transaction will.
I don't see how they can have a "set" timescale. They can have a target, but hitting it depends on the clarity and thoroughness of the information provided to them. It is precisely the most dodgy ones that will give them the most trouble, and we want them to clamp down on the dodgy ones.
If English football were preperly run, you would have ONE body supervising all such scrutiny, for the whole professional game, and they would all be full time staff, enough of them, paid the market rate from the humungous amonts of money sloshing around the game. That doesnt happen because the majority of fans tolerate the situation of the FAPL existing as a separate entity, and holding onto most of the money.
The EFL is a two bob outfit, but we are all complicit in the factors why that is so.

2.3 If at any time after a Club makes the submission of Declarations referred to in Rule 2.1 another person proposes to become a Relevant Person of that Club (including for the avoidance of doubt by virtue of being a shadow director or acquiring Control of the Club):
(a) the Club shall no later than 10 Normal Working Days prior to the date on which it is anticipated that such person shall become a Relevant Person submit to The League a duly completed Declaration in respect of that person, at which point that person shall be bound by and subject to the Regulations;
(b) within 5 Normal Working Days of receipt thereof The League shall advise the Club of the time-frame within which The League, acting reasonably, expects to be able to finalise its enquiries in respect of that person; and
(c) following completion of those enquiries, The League shall advise the Club in accordance with Rule 3.1 whether or not The League considers that the person is subject to a Disqualifying Condition.
2.4 A person who proposes to be a Relevant Person may not do anything that brings him within the definition of a Relevant Person, and the Club may not permit him to do anything that brings him within that definition, unless and until the Club has received confirmation from The League in accordance with Rule 2.3(c) that as far as The League is aware the person is not subject to any Disqualifying Condition.
2.5 A Relevant Person shall, within 14 days of any change in any of the particulars set out within his Declaration, provide an updated Declaration to his Club.
2.6 A Club shall, within 14 days of becoming aware of any change to any of the particulars previously submitted by the Club to The League, provide an updated Declaration to The League.
2.7 The Board may, after consultation with Clubs, levy fees (payable by Member Clubs) for the processing of Declarations.
3 Decision
3.1 Where The League decides (whether based on a Declaration or otherwise) that a person who is or wishes to become a Relevant Person is subject to a Disqualifying Condition, The League shall notify the person and his Club in writing of that decision (with reasons).
3.2 Where the person is a Relevant Person when the decision is made:

Wow, how am I complicit?
If you have never spoken up against it, especially when you were in a position of real power and influence, you are more complicit than most
But I am on my second espresso and in a foul mood after absorbing the morning's political news from the UK

I knew it. It's been the fault of that Irving geyser all along.
What’s eating me is we need to start work on transfers pronto
The work has started. They know the budget we will have once it goes through, they’ve already started working on targets.
That can't be true. Everyone knows that they sit around doing nothing for months and then just buy a player (whole thing takes 30 seconds on Football Manager so about the same in real life) at the last minute.
Yeah of course, heard someone caught Gallen playing a game of snakes and ladders and another game of twister, all in the same day. Light work for him between transfer windows.
While reading Charlton Life for hints on who to buy until admin banned him.
Not to worry, he can just follow Acworth on twitter instead.
His latest tip on who we should go for.............Phil Jones. Yes, that's Phil Jones who has 3 years left on his United contract and earns a reported 75k a week.
I don’t know why we don’t pay an extra £115k a week and get Maguire.

Because Oshilaja has his song.
I was thinking how we could get around that. Rather than paying 90m for Maguire we could offer them £50m + Oshilaja and make it a £100m deal. But only if they agree to do a loan swap between Rashford and Hemed.

My reaction to this suggestion and that he earns that amount of money
In London just in case anything got announced today and could end the boycott tonight. Guess I need to start thinking about cancelling my Friday plans. Fingers crossed.
Macclesfield just agreed a sale to a new owner. He's saying it should be wrapped up within a week. What's the chance of it being completed before ours.

Not what has been said, this from Sky, he hasn't even proved funds.

In that case, give the EFL a call, explain the situation and I’m sure they will push it through.

We've waited nearly 6 years for this to happen. We can wait another week or so.
He insulted the EFL with this banner and now they're taking it out on us.
