Who's confidence and when are the cavalry due? #xmashascomeearly
Yeah we'll be winning games at canter when the Cavalry arrives!! - Players will be chomping at the bit to be involved

Not to mention I'll be bridled with excitement at players not being forced to just saddle on!!

Neither despair nor optimism can be justification for grammatical, spelling, or semantic slippage. I salute you vigilance, Sir. I feel safe.

  • The league is yet to arrange personal interviews with the relevant individuals

Didnt Cawley say that Interviews happened last week?

there was a lot of bickering among ourselves in the changing room that night [against Huddersfield] when Reza Ghoochannejhad got sent off.

Solly's finest moment for Charlton when he told Reza he'd never understand Charlton (apparently)
I was told by someone in the changing room that night that Solly went for Reza and tried to punch him.

    Good on him.
  • I'm no fan of Reza but bit harsh for Solly to single him out. He came on as a sub when we were already 2-0 down and was sent off when we were 4-0 down.

Could've just as easily had a go at the likes of Roger Johnson or Harry Lennon who were simply awful.

Reza, Johnson and Lennon in the same team!  All of a sudden things don’t seen too bad at all right now.

Depends what Reza's attitude was like... People have already pointed out his lack of enthusiasm when we beat Sheff Wed in the FA Cup when he originally joined us, wouldnt be surprised if he walked round the place with a chip on his shoulder trying to find a new club

Imagine Johnson and Lennon were the type who put the effort in on the training pitch but didnt have the ability in games

Solly and Jackson are the two Id love to see give real honest interviews about the Roland era, reckon both are far too professional to do so but bet they've got some stories to tell

God - I’d forgotten those 2 as well. Absolute dross.

Were you at Huddersfield that god forsaken night ? Reza came on and was totally unprofessional that evening by committing two ridiculous bookable offences within about ten minutes. Whether we were 2-0 and then 4-0 down or not you don't do that to your team mates or the travelling diehards on a Saturday let alone a cold winter midweek game oop North 😡. And never mind about Solly digging him out in the dressing room he gave him his life history as he went past him on the pitch towards the tunnel beforehand and quite rightly so.
A cold night in Huddersfield I wont forget in a very long time.  You could see from the moment he came on Reza did not want to be there and succeeded in getting his personal  way over any team ethic.  A horrible night  and one I still have nightmeires over.

People get on your nerves in football and it might be other things that have happened at other times that push you to a certain point.

Bollocks, not showing up for some reason. Text:

Lee Bowyer is meeting with Matt Southall tonight. Southall will be the new chairman if and when the ESI takeover of Charlton Athletic is completed.

Looks like the EFL have seen all the house buying analogies on here: https://www.efl.com/news/2019/december/efl-announces-new-partnership-with-your-move/
  • 6ft 3 inch Lennon or Johnson or 5ft 11 Reza (I was surprised he was that tall )
who you gonna go for when you’re 5ft 3

i don't see how the EFL can be allowed to delay the process for too long.

if you look at the facts

    - one business owner has agreed to sell his business to another party

    - regulatory approval to verify the deal is outstanding.

    - the business is currently loss making. All the while the t's are not crossed it is costing the outgoing owner to commit financial support to fund the gap.

    - if i was the existing owner, i'd be on to the regulatory body on a daily basis insisting they pull out the stops to speed up the process.

But it's the golden share (endorsed by EFL) that is important, not the business, and without EFL authority, the share is not transferred...I thought Roland said we would break even this season, so it's not costing him money.  It'll happen when it happens!

Possibly my favourite Solly moment, apart from his captain's penalty against Doncaster last season. Having someone on the pitch giving Reza a piece of all our collective minds was maybe the only good thing to come out of that season.

Reza got sent of on purpose. I'm glad he got a earful and to be honest, I am glad he nearly got a dig.
