I don't see what the rush is. It's important that the EFL makes the right decision. And if that means that it takes longer than we all want, then so be it. It's better to get the right decision now than face the awful consequences of the EFL reaching the wrong decision.
So my message to the EFL is this: take your time, but reach the sensible conclusion that we all want. Because the consequences of getting it wrong could be disastrous. Look at all the available information. Interview whoever you need to. Ask the right questions. And be sceptical about any immediate answers you're given. Because this is important.
And then, finally, when you have reached the decision we all believe to be the right one, act quickly, issue an appropriately "massive" fine to Sheff Wednesday, relegate them and throw the book at Katrien Meire. Also, pull your finger out and sort out the Charlton takeover, sharpish.

What gives you the impression that anyone is in a rush?

Agreed, the EFL have quite rightly got massive criticism for the lack of evaluation of previous takeovers such as at Bury. We can't moan at them for waving through such takeovers, and then complain that they are doing a proper job with ESI.

Is it proper or are they just dragging their heels ? ESI contacted the EFL 3 weeks ago also why are they interviewing the Belgian? Is that normal practise?I never heard of it before.
If they have other takeovers to review right now then I am afraid we are in a queue. They don't have a big team, and some are not EFL staff. I'm firmly in the "let them do it properly" camp. You'd hope that ESI have given Gallen some kind of green light to draw up a wishlist based on a new budget, and that's all he can do anyway until the window opens.

Not much of a budget if the ‘wish list’ includes Joe Ledley and some kid who was once on Inter’s books.

I have waited 5 years for the f***** to sell, I can wait another 5 weeks.

Quick fixes until January? More than Roland would have committed to giving us. Maybe our new owner has been involved longer than we all think, hence the apparently decent summer.

He isn’t going to be funding signings back in August when we’re now in December and he still doesn’t own the club.

Isn't there a "let them do it properly asap" camp, or is it one or the other?
