I was fairly confident that the EFL approval would come though last week but it didn’t and now I’m getting a little nervous if I’m honest. Recent poor results haven’t helped. I just hope everything is done and dusted over the next couple of days so we can all look forward to a bright new future following the Addicks.

I would assume if the interviews only took place late last week we are still some time away. The panel have to process the results, look at the finances, proof of funds and ensure the money is not dirty. This will not be done by looking at a bank statement.

Some of that may have been done already. Was said on Charlton Live last Sunday the process had started.
What is all this rubbish about Charlton station ? If we moved grounds, do you really think that it would be with a station with more than two platforms? Also, I went to both Arsenal and Wembley last season and both times it took me more than an hour to get on the tube. Should they also move to new stadiums?

Considering the capacities at Arsenal and Wembley are 60,000 and 90,000 i think an hour is pretty good, so whats that got to do with the “rubbish” about Charlton station?
Just accept that people outside of your immediate family might just have an open mind and a different opinion and the post i made was about possibilities. No need for the ridicule.

Panic if we get to 2 weeks without the approval.
Why?
Completing a thorough process takes time. Surely it's reasonable to think it can take longer than a fortnight.

1. Can the use of the word rubbish really constitute ridicule?
2. Is an hour to get onto transport really 'pretty good?'
3. I believe that I have an open mind generally but it is true to say that this is not the case with regards to leaving The Valley. Regardless of my closed mind on this subject (due to the fact that it has been tried before in proven error) I do find the transport argument to be a red herring.
4. What on earth have my family got to do with it? One family member may agree with me on this but I can assure you that outside football we generally agree to disagree. I would ask that you leave my family out of this whether you know us or not. They do not represent my opinions at all.

Hang on here. Are you saying I don't have an open mind or different opinions to @jimmymelrose? Believe me there are a great many things we disagree on, as I do with @Golfie too . Don't understand why I've even been mentioned as I have not even commented on this thread where transport links are concerned.
I feel a distinct lack of house buying analogies of the current situation.
As you asked.
It is like when you think you have bought a house but on second inspection you realise the fixtures and fittings are all borrowed, dated or broken so you try to chip the price only to be gazumped by some Aussie bloke.
Just one question from me; would any new station have a popcorn stand?
And a peanut seller...
And Hot chestnuts, I remember them being sold on the East terrace.
Mal......are you sure about that? I can remember them being sold in the streets around The Valley but not inside, even then health and safety existed and I doubt an open brazier/fire on a terrace would have been allowed.

Maybe the buyers didnt considered the local transport links when thinking about buying this house, as a London property I imagine with just a 2 platform station the commute could get quite congested at times especially if they look to make an extention and bring many more family members to the area. Wonder if that's the sticking point.

Brazier wasnt inside, it was behind the covered end, old boy (hark at me!) used to do them, then had his son or young guy run in, I was always down the front, hanging on the metal fence, game I remember was Liverpool.

Could be I suppose but I was never aware of that little scam.

In the late sixties, I remember a guy with a brazier used to come in (when the gates were opened ten minutes before the end of the game) and sell chestnuts on the open space by the side of the South terrace.
