@JamesSeed, I can't help but think that if you'd not made an issue of it, @shirty5's comment would probably have been lost to most of us; just another one of 37,000 comments on this thread. Instead something that would have passed most of us by (something and nothing in my opinion, but obviously not yours) has just become the major issue on the site this morning and everyone's attention has been drawn to it. And yes, calling people numbskulls is not acceptable.
I'd like to make two suggestions: 1. If you want something deleted then please pm me and/or the other mods. To use Big Rob's phrase, we'll look into it. In this case I don't think I'd have personally done anything, because I genuinely don't see why it's an issue and it's already elsewhere in the public domain anyway. But ultimately, you only have to convince one mod and you may have had more luck with one of the others. 2. If you, @shirty5, @ElfsborgAddick or anyone else can't see eye to eye, can I suggest that you ignore each other rather than getting into petty squabbles. Frankly, I've got better things to do with my bank holiday than try to manage other people's arguments.

It also means he may now not be upto date with the status of the takeover as they may well have been looking for another ceo

I only became a ‘proper fan’ in 2015, and that’s not long enough imho. Also I’ve literally just started writing my book (been researching on and off) so won’t have enough time time.

This forum is for discussions and differences of opinions it’s getting to the point now where there’s so much background bollox and pm shit that it’s a distraction from the information like it or not the info was relevant even if in a very insignificant way
If GM didn’t want it discussed he should watch out who he shared it with once he had shared it with those who needed to know then there was always the chance it would get mentioned
It also means he may now not be upto date with the status of the takeover as they may well have been looking for another ceo
It could also be part of the reason for some of the delay
It may be a sign that the whole thing is offf it’s as worthy of discussion as anything else posted on here
If you hadn't made such a noise about what was posted on another site about GM then it would have just been another 'Colin says' and there's been a myriad of those on this thread.
He has obviously heard there is an issue with GM - whether personal or professional - and by you confirming it on here, it now becomes an interest to all of us. Because if one of the front men of the Consortium is having problems, the whole position changes.
I might be wrong but I thought I had read that you are standing for a position in the trust soon.
I have to say that I am not convinced that will be a good move if you find it difficult to accept criticism withou having to make such rude retorts.

I’ll have a go: I heard that GM isn’t actually Australian so he’s having some visa issues that prohibit him from returning to the country.
I very kindly was asked to stand for the Trust but eventually decided not to. My following Charlton was originally just a family thing. I only became a ‘proper fan’ in 2015, and that’s not long enough imho.
Also I’ve literally just started writing my book (been researching on and off) so won’t have enough time time.
Before I go, this wasn’t a matter of developing a thick skin, or banter or rude comments. Certainly not differences of opinion.
Proper trolling is very very different to that.
Its normally associated with kids, but when it affect adults there’s a tendency not to take it seriously.

I couldn't tell you how much he is in the know, but I believe he has a family member working for the lawyers that are conducting the take over.
I just feel very uneasy about this family stuff being shared, which is why I haven’t done so.
