I think we all need to calm down and remember that it's not been this exciting for a long while.

I must nod off at the exciting bits - where's the excitement exactly?

Not sure Rob, I read it on here in the week so it must be true
  • To think we've taken 1 point out of 6 against Wimbledon this season...
  • To think we've taken 1 point out of 6 against Wimbledon this season...

And one against Millwall as well.

We really don't do London derbies, do we?

Was in the home end - can't remember watching two teams that bloody bad - Christ it was Sunday league

Aerial bombardment by Wimbledon. Wouldn't pay to watch that week in week out.

Novak missed an open goal and failed to lob the keeper in the first half. Watt had a screamer well saved. We should have gone two up. Sorry, but Novak isn't really good enough. Josh needs another game.

@se9addick Hold on, Wimbledon have apologised and said action will be taken against the groundsman.

He brought on Botaka and Mavididi in attempt to stop an all out attack by Wimbledon. Both provided a threat, with their pace.
Watt had an excellent game, but was tiring. Not sure about Holmes. Would have left him on.
    Gutted.
  • That was frankly awful. Got what we deserved. Don't get all this guff about being more attacking under Robinson, lot of possession but no end product. Very disappointing. Play offs - no chance.

  • Be very grateful if some of you guys there could contribute to the players marks thread, much thanks !
  • At least we finished with 11 players on the pitch. Another step forward.
  • Just got in PWR

Another week same result achieved in the same manor. It's like a stuck record

Nobody come out of this with any credit

Yes the Lino was a useless blind twat, if he was struck by a coin then that's not on, sorry. Give him stick ok, coin? Come on
Robinson and the Chippy scouser act is funny for 5 mins, I would prefer he concentrated on the football
Wimbledon fans. I get you don't like him, but that banner lack a little in the class department. Was that really all they could manage
Both set of players committed some very dubious fouls
The groundsman at the end wtf? KR should just walk away though. Be the bigger guy

Rant over not a great afternoon for all concerned
  • Since I am getting stick from my buddy Kevin Rye, (SD and AFCW bod) can anybody update us on the alleged coin-throwing? Said on match thread that it wasn't as initially reported.

This club is dying on it's feet, until we get new owners weare destined to be a league one joke of a club
    Fuck of Roland

No sendings off and no injuries
  • These bloody draws are killing us. There is only one side in the division with fewer defeats than us.
  • Nice people at AFC Wimbledon. I wish them well. I doubt if any of their players would get into our team, maybe Elliot the tall goalscorer. They were truly crap but managed to raise their game in the second half whereas we seemed to lose our momentum just like against Fleetwood. In the first half we were well on top and should have got another goal. Once again Holmes could have been sent off for a terrible 'one for the team' foul but his free kick goal was beautifully curled into the top right corner.
I wondered who was the new skinhead in our team? It was Watt! He played okay mainly on the left wing and is clearly getting fitter.
Novak really fluffed a big chance in the second half but I thought he held his line up quite well, so I have been kind and given him an average 6 in my players' marks.
Overall we blew it. If you can't beat Wimbledon you really don't deserve to go up. They need shooting because it is definitely 2 points lost.
(At half time I wandered out of the ground to get a coffee in the car park. It was quite surreal. I could have popped across the road into Homebase and ordered a sofa if I had wanted to.)

I wonder if Essex Al shares your view of today, @blackpool72 ...

TBH, listening to the commentary, it sounded on the whole as though we had a lot of possession, scorned a couple of very good opportunities to score and paid the price.

Although, in the 2nd half the Dons appeared to come out with a vengeance and continued in that vein for much of the 45 and we didn't do enough to deserve all 3 points.

    So, what's new ?
  • Not a pitch for football to be played on which suited Wimbledon much more than it did charlton.

And we play so much better on good pitches!

As told to me by their CEO for Trust News, their budget for the year is 4th lowest, and Neal Ardley's goal is to finish 5th bottom. They just want to be in this division when they move into their new stadium. All the fans know this, because they are the shareholders.

We have, by some reports, a top six budget. So we are under-performing. Simple fact, which AFCW have underlined, twice in three months. They are the club who are run in the polar opposite way to CAFC.

@Henry Irving , I am going to win that bet, I think.

The Upbeats will be the winners @PragueAddick

I still think Chris O'Loughlin will turn it around and we'll make the play-offs

  • Same old Charlton this season - can't defend.

Rudd - Hardly touched the ball

Solly - Looked different class, had a decent game.

Bauer - Solid enough but not sure who messed up for the goal

    Teixeira - As above

Chicksen - I am not a fan of his - BUT, very impressed with him today

    Crofts, - Hardly noticed him

Konsa, - Had a decent chance in 1st half, and a good game overall.

Aribo, Played some great football today, looks promising (for Roland to sell)

    Holmes, He is class

Watt, - Had a cracking volley in 2nd half that would have won goal of the season except for a class save, also covered a lot of ground today.

Novak - Like having a bag of spuds up front.

Magennis - Took time to get going - should have started

Botaka - Didn't really add anything when he came on

Mavididi - Could be good, but need to see more.

Bringing on Botaka to me (I wasn't there) seemed like a perfectly logical sub to make, we know Watt isn't the fittest, and he was an obvious replacement.

It's not as if we had a defensive sub to bring on instead
