He'd do better to invest a little right now to pay off Robinson.
When he sells, Roland will get a better price for a League One club. Relegation will cost him big money.
Yeah true, but Pinocchio is still telling her Sugar Daddy that we are safe & heading in the right direction...(just not the right one we all want...sigh...!!),mem we got a top 6 budget,he wouldn't have a clue if we were relegated or not...
A snippet from this evening's post match waffling, most of which was about the players not wanting the ball enough:
“We’re far, far from a good team – we have to dig deep in the remaining games,” said Robinson. “If we can’t play out we have to be route one. People know I’m not an advocate of that but when we go long and don’t win the first phase or second phase…we lacked bravery to our play."
What sort of football is he an advocate of? I can never see anything to suggest that there's an actual system, that they've been working on something in training.
Can't understand how this bloke is in professional football - he's Karel Fraeye-level, possibly worse.
Agree with some of the other posts though - I am delighted he's not been sacked yet, as I'm hoping that means that a takeover is in the offing.
Doesn't matter what manager we have, until Roland fucks off nothing will change, we've had almost 10 managers since he took over. Think its pretty obvious its not the manager thats the issue (although granted many have been awful). No point in debating quality of managers until Roland leaves.
I said to my friends as I left the ground tonight that I predict Robinson will be sacked before I arrive home tonight. Well I have got home and he is still in a job, unbelievable! It looked to me tonight that Robinson has lost the dressing room. He was very quiet on the touch line, and the players seem totally disinterested.
Of all the managers we have had since the Belgiums took over Robinson is probably the worst. He is tactically useless, and he cannot motivate the team.
I have been supporting this club for 50 years but the current team is the worst team that I have seen.

Yep, that's exactly right.
Sack him. Don't sack him. Nothing changes until the head is cut off.

I disagree. Another manager could be doing better with this group of players. Quite who that manager is and whether they would come is another matter.
But overall Charlton will not be successful by any measure under Duchatelet, that's now beyond question.
I have to agree he's bordering challenging Karel for worst manager and I never thought i'd say that about anyone.
It really isn't rocket science, look at what you've got and play to those abilities. Instead he continually plays formations that vary each game and don't suit the players he fields. Players have to take some responsibility but it's crystal clear that most of them don't have a scooby of how to play in the systems he wants.
With what we've got an old fashioned 442, possibly 451 away from home with someone like Jacko if he can cope playing sweeper. We've got players that can cope with that both in ability and mental capacity, wouldn't have got us promoted or probably into the play offs but we wouldn't be scrapping for survival or playing like a pub team that have just met for the first time.
Instead come Saturday we'll change again. I predict Watt will be dropped and it'll be something like a 4231.
We can't score, we can't keep a clean sheet. Our last clean sheet was Millwall on the 14th Jan. If you can't set your team up to score and you can't keep a clean sheet, you're going down.
The sheer lack of desire from the players to me means he's lost the dressing room (if he ever had it) I wonder how much of that is the players know it doesn't matter, managers don't last long and another will be here soon.
In normal circumstances I'd say he has to go, but it really won't make any difference, the whole place is toxic and no manager is going to make any difference until new owners and a new structure is in place.
He should have gone after Saturday, but they have not got the football brain to get rid of him. Last night was as pathetic as I've seen in over 35 years.
Don't see where the next win is coming from under his stewardship.
Only at Charlton could they appoint someone who had a worse record than us last season.
I know things were not great to watch under Slade, but my god, I swear we would not be in the Shit we are in now if he was still in charge.
How long has he got? He's been here too long already, Chancer whose playing career highlights include Kidsgrove in the North West Counties League.
Tries hard to talk a good game but never played one at a decent senior level. Being on the back-room staff at Blackburn / Liverpool gave him visions of grandeur.
Can't afford to get relegated - a drop to L2 under this lot will be the end of it. Leaving KR in charge is the final insult. I keep thinking they can't run the club in a worse manner but sadly I'm wrong. Can Congo Chris be even worse?
We kept trying with Fraeye way too long, and that was in the end a deciding factor. I can't believe KR is still in charge, but the replacement will be equally rubbish. Where at the Valley is there somene who can judge an adequate replacement? Katrien Merde? Tony Cojones? To avoid relegation, we need a dead cat bounce. These clowns will liquify the cat first, so we will just get a splat. Besides, a saking costs money - if RD is selling, why would he care?
You look at that team last night on paper and it should be at least be a safe plodding mid table league one side. It isn't. It's fragile, devoid of nous and lacking in togetherness.
That's all you need to know that Robinson has lost them. The players are going through the motions. Most probably want out or know that their Charlton future is coming to an end.
You can argue that Robinson should be allowed to build his own team but do we have the luxury of that chance ?
Unless we get the "dead cat bounce" that comes with someone like Jason or JJ taking over until the seasons end I'm not sure we will stay up.
I never thought I would see Charlton in the fourth teir but I'm afraid I now think we will.
The tinkering is the thing that is mystifying me. Even allowing for injuries, the unbalanced squad and the need to rest certain players if we have two games a week, he should know in his head what his best starting XI and formation is and should aim to put out as close to that each game. Not rocket science but very effective.
Leicester won the PL last season by effectively turning back the clock and playing the same XI in the same formation week in week out and it worked a treat.
The very top sides can afford to rotate as their players are good enough and have enough football intelligence to adapt to changing line-ups and formations. At our level they simply aren't good enough and the key to success is a consistency in selection and tactics which is why the likes of Fleetwood and Scunthorpe are where they are in the table and we're where we are
Hang on a minute, rumours of Barker leaving, who ls supposed to be the 'football' brains behind the dynamic duo, could have been the final straw for the players. Hence their abject performance last night in the knowledge that the buffer between Tarbuck and Congo Chris, is deserting a sinking ship .

If gobinson doesn't get the bullet i really think we are getting new owners.
No really
Fat idiot.

1. "The players were a disgrace, not fit to wear the shirt"
2. "I blame myself for poor tactics"
3. "Some players aren't trying hard enough"
Talk about mixed messages from your boss.
His man management is absolutely shocking. No wonder he can't get the players playing for him.

Discovered the fat, scouse **** hasn't been sacked yet.
