The simple fact he referred to some fans as "the bad ones" tells me all I need to know about him at this moment in time. He is on their side. Not the fans.
It's just a throwaway comment that he probably made with a smile on his face. I'm not digging out anyone personally but we have become such a sensitive cynical bunch recently. One random conversation in a garage and people are jumping on every quoted word! Have you not sometimes made a comment in a passing conversation that you maybe didn't mean? Or that may have been open to interpretation?
My dislike of the owners will not change but I have been impressed by Robinson so far and he will get my full support for now. Some of us need to take a chill pill.
I agree totally with your comment, he was most probably joking (as scousers do)

Roland says he's not going to sell the club? Well I say I'm not going to stop protesting until he does. Stick that in your Belgian pipe.
As if Roland is going to tell a potential employee that the current employer is actively looking to rid him self of the business- let alone whether he's going to sell the club in the near future or not!
"Yeah I really want to hire you , but just so you know I may or may not be at the cloob in a few months and you may or may not have a stingy bastard running the club , yes even stingier than me! So when will you be starting?"
The only person who will have told Robinson the club isn't for sale is KM- and she whittled out the "won't be sold" line every few weeks!
Rumour is he wants Poyet back (he had him at MK).. if he could get him back to where he was 3 years ago that would be a hell of a coup
Didn't Robinson/MKD send poyet back early 'cos he was constantly shite? Few months later he was back at the valley and continued where he left off at stadium:MK!
I fully support CAST meeting Robinson but you can guarantee that Meire won't allow it unmediated or without other handpicked individuals who can be relied on to misrepresent the situation.
As a Trust member, I am very pleased that CAST have offered his meeting and have every confidence in their ability to present a balanced picture of fan perspectives, which I think is important. However, I would insist on this meeting being solely with the Trust (and preferably a few members of the Trust Board rather than a large gathering - as it is more conducive to a clearer exchange of views). No other fans groups or hand-picked additions. Understandable if the club want to field someone to accompany KR but I hope that isn't allowed to become a PR spin.
Beyond Daisy's revelation that they want to give us a unique football experience, where we can all see the stars of the future play for Charlton before being sold on to the premiership, this regime has never been able to express a vision for the football club. As such, I was left slightly bemused when I read the article in Tuesday's Evening Standard. The sentence that stood out for me is as follows:
"Robinson took the Charlton job last week after meeting Duchatelet in Paris and says he was sold by his vision for the club during their three-and-a-half hour meeting".
Sorry, but this just reeks of BS to me and when considered alongside some of KR's other utterences, it seems his focus is on PR as much as football.
Perhaps Pitch will offer him employment when CO'L gets his job
mentioned this the other day on another thread, if he's shared his vision with Robinson how about sharing it with the supporters ?

It might well be bollocks but what is he supposed to say? He's not going to say, "i'm out of work and desperate for a job"!
If you listened to Louis' charlton live show yesterday, they had an interview with Robinson and he came across very well, plus an interview with one of the guys who met with him the other night at the ground who was impressed with him.
I strongly believe that KR is the regime's best appointment by far.
I've just listened to Charlton Live & the club KR is talking about didn't bear ANY resemblance to Charlton #IMHO
I find it somewhat peculiar that many Charlton fans expect Karl Robinson to have a detailed knowledge of why Charlton fans are protesting. I'm quite certain he knows more than he is letting on, but it's almost as if people expect Robinson to have been following CL for nearly 3 years.
Let's face it there's a substantial amount of Charlton fans that can't understand why we're protesting.
Adiitionally, it's also peculiar to me that some people can't understand why an unemployed family man, with a young son, wants to take a job for which he is eminently qualified.
He's been promised a fair say in the transfers and no doubt been promised he can improve the squad next month.
If he gets sacked and paid off within 12 months, so what ?
What's the average time in role for a L1 manager ? I'd be surprised if it's even 2 years in any case.
I really hope The Trust arrange a meeting with KR, so that he is fully briefed and I still wish KR the best of British.

So just the same faces with there one eyed opinions. Very balanced. Stay out of it Karl and do your talking on the pitch.
If he said 'the bad ones' then he's immediately made life hard for himself and his players. I can totally understand why he took the job; London, probably a decent salary, the squad isn't that bad and he probably got assurances he'll be able to strengthen in January. He's said all the right things so far, but so did Slade. He's only managed one club before, remember. I'm going to judge him solely on results, but right now being heralded as our messiah by some is completely untrue; at least let's see how he does first.
Robinson's job is to manage the football team with the aim of winning as many points and games as possible so that we can get re-promoted a s a p .. he's not been appointed to be a go-between, a buffer twixt fans and owners .. Just get on with your job Robinson, I cannot imagine what benefit meeting with the protesting fans will bring. The protests are supposedly aimed at the owner and CEO and not at the team or is it the aim of 'the protesters' to select the team as well as to drive out Duchatelet and Meire ?

She's contacted a casting agency to ask for actors and the exercise to be filmed on cafc player. That's the only way I can see it happening.
The casting agency fuck up and send down actors who think Karl wants to meet fans of Charlton Heston.
This is Charlton Athletic 2016 under RD and KM, I wouldn't be surprised if something like that actually took place
Look. For all those telling Karl Robinson to "stick to the football" it is him that said he wanted to meet with fans to learn about the protests. The Trust are our biggest representative group. That is surely a logical coming together.
Don't let this just be another case if talking the talk. KR will earn the respect of many Charlton fans if he does what he says and understands clearly the reasons for the protests. If he then decides, ok I'm not convinced and we are all making a lot of fuss about not very much, so be it. At least it will be an informed opinion.

Complete wanker.
All the people I know who support other football clubs are aware what's happening/happened at Charlton to a lesser or greater extent.
Apparently the bloke who just took the manager's job isn't.
He's full of shit imo and will fit right in nicely with his scumbag colleagues.

He has my full backing at the present time.
Ffs give him a chance he hasn't even been in charge for a single game
Will be interesting to see how things pan out over the next couple of months.
I just hope he gets time and no knee jerk reactions kick in if/when things aren't going so well.
Hope it works out well for him and he is still in place should we be lucky enough to get owners who know how to run a football club.
If your looking in Karl, have a read and have a listen

If we climb the league the fans will back you

Can't believe how much KR opened up to someone he doesn't know
