  • NRL today
  • After manning the museum, attending the B&W photocall @charltonnick and I sat in the RoD, cheered the goal, left at half four and arrived at Charlton station to hear the second Wombles cheer...it still hurt, were not anti those who go but thoroughly anti regime who have learnt f@ck all....maybe the new era starts at Oxford?

Well I buckled today under pressure, first game of the season, I really didn't want to go, but for the sake of a quiet life from the missus ( it was her 50th birthday) we went.

I didn't recognise about 7 starting Charlton players , felt no emotional attachment to what was going on on the pitch, and couldn't be arsed to even celebrate when Charlton scored , what have you done to this club Duchalet, you've killed it.

Like you MIA, I gave up my Season ticket and now use freebies or cheaper ticket to go. (missed 1st home game of season)
I can't see how you didn't enjoy Lookman Goal or his skill on the ball in the 1st half. (yes we all know he will go in the next window)
I haven't gone to an away game yet this season because of the underlying feeling we are on the road to nowhere.
Will miss my 1st Millwall game home or away since the win at the old Den
against Mick Mack Paddy wacko team when we won on a Snowy cold night
and the season when we did the double over them and they went from top to relegation. Happy days.
That Because i went into a dark depression that lasted all Easter after the Bad Friday defeat and can't take the good chance of that happening again.
My therapist have given me Relaxing Meditation DVDs and my doctor Medication to Ease the Pain.
My doctor said i'm suffering with Duchateletitis; a shocking disease that found its way to the UK from a poisoned Waffle. Only known cure is Varney Valium a pick me up tonic which would rid the Patient of total abject feeling of hopelessness and bereft of a future.

As I said in another thread, my wife insisted I drove her to the cinema for a romcom yesterday, if I wasn't boycotting I would have been up at the Valley and out of the house! Think of all the poor men with bored housewives who now have to find other ways to not get roped into hairbrained hobbies! Next week she says she wants to go curtain shopping! *gulp*
  • Russell Slade, Russell Slade,
    Summer spent drinking lemonade,
Fleetwood, Wimbledon, put him in the shade,
    Russell Slade, Russell Slade.

    Russell Slade never explained,
Why his team were poorly trained,
    Never once did he assert,
That none were fit to wear the shirt.

    Russell Slade always ignoring
    Hoof-ball makes for football boring.
Fans all watch like graveside mourners,
Charlton botch up all their corners.

Russell Slade will never win it,
His team gives up in the tenth minute,
Can't be asked to run and strike it,
Eff of fans, if you don't like it.

    Russell Slade, Russell Slade,
    Under worked, and overpaid,
Yet when he's sacked, he'll have it made,
    Russell Slade, Russell Slade.
