  • 'Belgian cockwombles ' , be careful you will be receiving a letter from Mr Eagles !!

Its "Mendez" Louis Mendez, not Mr Eagles!! He'll get the right hump if we keep on............. ;)
  • I wonder what sort of Police presence there will be tomorrow ?

    Don't say that word!
  • I suggest you go, Arsenetatters - to revel in the schadenfreude, laugh at our players' comedy of errors, admire the play of our opponents, and enjoy the post-mortem in the pub. I have been doing that at every home game, league and cup, for the last six seasons. It ain't football, but it's tremendous fun.

Dunno about the Jehovahs but at 1.30 this afternoon a load of Asian men laid out carpets in Ransom walk and started praying towards Katies office.

I'm going, reduced price tickets via a friend, but I'm there supporting my team.

Haven't renewed S/T & have been undecided all day/week/month I'm coming round to giving it a go. Can't see how I can fulfill the 'support the team' bit without going to loads of aways, and that doesn't work for me - too many personal & work commitments and it's not really how i wantto live my life (I'm a 2-5 aways a year man).

So, encouraged by BDL who i think has pretty much all our respect, I'll go. Are cheap/free tickets available? I'll donate any savings to the Upbeats

  • I am going. Free ticket, pay nothing in the ground. Definition of 'support the team, not the regime' in my book. The next home game... "I'm out".
  • I'm going and I don't care what other fans say about me. I'm supporting my team in the good times and bad time and what ever league we are playing in this will be my 19th season ticket in a row and I'm looking forward to it. It's been a long summer. Come on you reds

    Watchtower or Witch Tower?
  • Only 48 years supporting but cannot remember last time I missed 1st day. Can't see many away games that interest me, but won't order through the club as I live too far away to collect, but I will attend car park protests when they restart.

Disappointed to hear so many people attending or getting STs. Only way to get them out is an empty Valley.

So you'll be there tomorrow ?

    Car park protest starts 1.30.

You having a pint tomorrow CE

Who will then be telling fans "Don't stand so close to me".
  • Not going is playing right into their hands....I personally wouldnt buy a season ticket but Id be there for all protests either inside or outside the ground...sadly cant do any of this from here, but I feel he is running us into the ground on purpose and have done for well over a year now. Nobody sane of mind could be this incompetent unless of course they had an ulterior motive and London is a red hot property market....can you imagine how many flats they could build on our site? Drive the fans away to the point where they can claim its no longer viable to play league football in SE7 and The Valley becomes Yuppyville....conveniently close to a railway station for the 20 minute commute into London.
  • Go if your ticket is genuinely free, otherwise stay well away. Every single £1 paid to the club is a vote in favour of the RD regime. The boycott of spending on the club needs to be rock solid to force these bastards out.
  • I will always go, it's in my blood and has been since the early 60's.

  • After careful consideration , not going. Disturbing thing is out of my crowd of 7 nobody is going. A bloke and his 2 grandchildren who have sat next to me for 5 years are going to migrate to Gillingham for good. This is the real long term damage being done to the club. My 7 year old grandson doesn't ever want to go again. Looks like my family's 80 year old support is coming to an end.

  • the decision has been decided for me as I've got to take one of my animals to the vet as soon as they open.

This would be easier if Mr Tatters was here but he's working at the great british beer fest all week.

    Hey ho.

    COYR!!

  • I'm not going, first time in years I haven't renewed my season ticket. Feels weird not going but after last season and all the closed season nonsense I won't be giving a single penny to those clowns.
  • I usually match my weekends in London to home matches but have decided to limit my trips to when the team is playing away.
I couldn’t pass the Valley with a home match in progress and not be inside.
Have a freebie for Norwich city this evening but my heart will always be with Charlton.
  • All summer we had hundreds on here saying not going and not renewing season ticket, apparently we have sold 6,000 season tickets and with a home game today I can see quite a few now going, god help us is we play well and score a hatful of goals because next home game there will be siht loads of us going through the turnstiles with Roland rubbing his hands together.I havnt renewed and wont attend but if everybody is going to give up what was the point in all of our protests last season.

Fair points but I don't work all week to spend Saturday shopping in Bromley. I'll be there (hopefully with a freebie) letting Katie know what I think of the regime.
  • Even harder than I thought it would be but I am forcing myself not to go. It feels strange breaking a habit of 41 years!
  • Was going until last night when I read comments on here which convinced me to stay away, plus my family made clear they really weren't interested in a 200-mile round trip to watch what is likely to be a poor game of football in a two-thirds empty stadium.

I respect those who do go but can't help but feel that a decent turnout will give succour to meire and her ilk who will say the protests are hot air and that fans will come regardless of what the club does. Anyhow, let's hope we win and please, those who go, give Meire hell.

This is how I see it. I would like to see a pathetically empty stadium for our home games and then for CARD to call a special protest game (maybe a discount ticket game so the owner doesn't benefit too much) we can attend which we should try to attend in as many numbers as we can (20k plus) to show the club what their actions are missing out on. Would also give some of us a bit of a Charlton fix!
