Apologies after an appalling shameful pathetic mistake are always easy. Politicians do it all the time and somehow think that is okay now. NO, it was unforgivable, lazy and useless to allow such a basic error to occur. Hang your heads in shame you scum!
Without making this a museum thing and waking up the trolls the club did ring another trustee during the week to consult on what would be appropriate in terms of a tribute.
That was a good thing to do.
They didnt show the other trustee, who saw Graham play many times, a photo as that would have avoided the problem.
We also had a visit today to the museum from two new staff who I believe from what they said nor only got "it" but saw the value in our history.
So how does the new head of communications help out in matters like this? If some staff are being exploited, rushed and overloaded this week couldn't Katrien and Mel have made them some tea or something? I happen to know what time Katrien arrived today, and it wasn't impressively early, but in good faith she probably thought things could run themselves.
I feel sorry for the unsupervised and not knowledgable enough individual(s) that made the mistake. If a relatively normal person they will feel the weight on the shoulders and be feeling terrible.
The club wants to employ people that are not connected with charlton but are cheap?
As all of you know there was a mistake with the image which I can only apologise for. I was as distraught as anyone when I realised what had happened.
I can assure everyone it was definitely not deliberate hence why I’m as upset as everyone that it happened. In fact I was trying to make sure everything was respectful hence spending Friday night programming the banner to turn off as I didn’t want adverts on the screen during the minutes applause.
There was over 100 different images, videos and graphics made for the big screen for today’s game which is a lot more than usual and although it would be easy to say in such a busy week mistakes happen, but if it was an error on a ticketing image then it doesn’t matter but something like this it does matter to the family and the fans which is why I can only pass on my deepest apologies.
When spotted what had happened we worked to try to rectify the situation with the half time apology and the correct image displayed.
With such a busy week, things did slip when they shouldn’t have, and we will be putting in procedures instantly to make sure work as important as this is checked over again and again so errors can’t happen again.
Once again apologies to any fans but more importantly apologies to the family, we will make sure mistakes like this don’t happen again.
Tired of hearing 'proper charlton' or 'charlton through and through' being peddled out to defend people. In my opinion if you work for the club you are now sadly part of the problem.
Obviously a mistake and a very sad one to make. Unfortunately no apology will undo or make better the hurt Moore's family must feeling. I take it someone or some family of our old player was attending today, if they were that must have been a most truly awkward, embarrassing and upsetting experience. I would imagine his family really would of found it comforting to know that he was being remembered by the club and fans and that happens. If it's not a bad enough time for the family, they now have this memory to take away. I don't like the idea of using this as an excuse to point score against the clubs owner or his people, they wouldn't do that. There's enough to use against them without this. What's done is done etc.
The buck stops at the Belgian's, you underpaid, overworked chaps should not be on here apologising for the regime. Where is that woman who is paid too much money for being so shit at her job?
GM was one of my first heroes as a Charlton fan. I was so proud as a kid watching him play for Wales live in the Home Internationals on TV.

Thank you for this decent facing up to things, and yes, what's done is done.
If the workload or schedule or demands are too high to ensure quality as well as quantity (as in 100 images and such), then may I suggest quality comes first.
One good idea when asked to do more and more by higher powers, is not to refuse, but to say: 'I'll put it on my list of things to do'. If you don't get round to it is too bad, and in the meantime seize personal autonomy to prioritize what you think should come first.
I may be wrong, however it seems to me that the sad thing is that this 'incident' has garnered more national media attention than the protests etc etc to date (excluding match reporting of course) - awful for the family of course - shocking for a club which has for years been viewed as having close ties with its fans and history
I feel sorry for the individuals - this Olly chap and his cohorts - no sane person would have done this deliberately, we all know that - we have all made mistakes in our lives, although many of us haven't made mistakes so exposed to the glare of the world
That said, do I think that the senior people running the club now give a shit - nope.
In terms of cock-ups the club will have to go some to top this. I am therefore, fully expecting the live match feed to be replaced by pornhub against Reading.

Pornhub vs Reading - that would be a dirty game - would sell out !!!

Problem was someone choose the wrong photo regardless if you had one image or one hundred. The blame lays with the person who passed over the Alan Campbell photo.
The whole of the Cardiff bench and staff stood in a line during the applause and it was noticeable that not all of our bench and staff did the same.
Manners cost nothing do they - even if you knew nothing about the individual being celebrated, it's no fuss to join in and recognise matters - put another way I am pretty confident a British manager/coach/player etc etc working on the continent would have realised, respected and taken part in a similar 'event'
And that's just it mate, it's a very sad situation and no one comes out with any positives, but we really shouldn't lose the focus that there's no captain sailing this boat with any common sense or experience, and that has resulted in the memory of a former player who sadly passed being affected
Not by ollie Not by the person who put the pic up Nor by Saadamson
But by the fools running the club all anger should be aimed at them

That will never happen, pornhub is something people might pay to see, it'll be the Ideal World shopping channel....

That new comms girl is doing a great job in getting publicity for the club.

Alan Campbell or Mark Twain.
RIP Graham Moore
Is Keith Peacock still a Club Ambassador? He played in the same team as Graham -all they had to do was get KP to choose the pic.
Seriously bad form and I know how I'd feel if I was a member of Graham's family present at the game - I'm seething enough as it is.
