Another player that so far has no links with coming to Charlton... Reckon we should try though:
It looks like Arsene Wenger has finally had enough of Serge Gnabry's lack of game time down at The Hawthorns. Gnabry has played a whopping 12 minutes while on loan at the fellow Premier League side - but reports suggest Wenger has ended the spell.
Gnabry is expected to go straight back out on loan with Championship clubs interested.
Gnabry would be great, or Iwobi from Arsenal too, about time they repaid us turning Song and Coquelin into proper midfielders (Frimpong was a lost cause)
Happy with both the signings. Could do with a couple more though!
Happy with Poyet - sceptical with Johnson, but agree both are a step in the right direction. Although only at Charlton could re-signing two players you should never have let go amount to a step in the right direction.

Johnson is a leader and even if he isn't the best centre-back, it will take some pressure off Jackson and Diarra by having him in the squad. He'll do a good job for us.

Yeah even Arsenal agreed with us that Frimpong was just too dench or whatever the hell it was
Maybe we offered him a deal last season and he decided he could do better, and ended up in India? I'm sure there was rumblings of a MLS team looking to sign him, but that didn't come to fruition and he is now back with us after keeping himself fit by playing.
That's true wanted a two year deal and got an offer from a club in USA ..
Correction, he's returned because his loan has ended but apparently Southend are in discussions with us in regards to his future (Daily Mail) - I do find that strange though as wasnt a perm deal agreed as part of the loan agreement?
Club getting their business done early is a good thing. The recruit are a known quantity which should help us out of the bottom three, but it does indicate a total lack of effective scouting.
I think Karel must've been neglecting his copy of Football Manager: Scout edition since his appointment in favour of inventing some new football formations on a Saturday.
We desperately needed to do early business, and I'm glad we've been proactive
I imagine Euell would have been involved in some of these deals, he'll know Poyet and Johnson, and did briefly play at Boro so maybe has contacts there

Good point, Euell would have been at Middlesboro just as Williams was about to sign his first pro deal, though it is 8/9 years later, professional football is a small world

Boro seem quite a stable club, Euell would probably still know some of the backroom staff (and indeed Steve Gibson)

I hope Euell was involved as there doesn't seem to be anyone else involved in the process that has a clue about football (and that includes the hapless interim manager)
KF got a new football manager app for Christmas, but as he doesn't earn much he can't afford the in app purchases to access the better players. Apparently Johnson is the highest rated defender in the Indian league so we snapped him up
Powell, 21, has made two appearances for Louis van Gaal since recovering from injury.
Preston lead a six-club race for the midfielder, who is out of contract in the summer and keen to show United he is worth a new deal by proving himself in the Championship.
No clubs mentioned but still think we could do a lot worse with an Attacking Midfielder, he's got a bit of an attitude which could be an issue yet thought he was one of Wigan's strongest players on their march to the Play-Offs in 2014.
Excellent, we have a great track record of dealing well with players with a history of attitude problems. No doubt Katrien is currently checking the Football League rule book to see if you can loan a loanee out to Cardiff.

Talksport saying Poyet is a done deal already !

Roger a free agent though, so does that, technically, count
Wonder what @Ollywozere means by this?
No source but it seems quite likely the way things are going.
Or Eagles if he is still unattached...
If he's failed to get a Contract anywhere here in England by now then its a no from me
Looks like I'm on the move again...more to follow
