  • There are still negotiations to bus the home support to Bournemouth to watch it on a beamback.
  • You have to charge the price charged to home fans for equivalent seats. So north lower prices are what away fans pay in the Jimmy Seed.

Those ends of the west upper get more pricey as you move centrally for home fans so same as away fans.
That's the basis of it, I agree. However, given that Charlton are under no obligation to supply the extra tickets at all, they could have said to Bournemouth that they could only have them at the same price as the Jimmy Seed Stand, take it or leave it. It seems a bit odd to let them sell seats for £15 - although I don't disagree with accommodating them.
Are match day tickets for that block really only £15, as if so why would anyone pay more for a matchday ticket in the lower North?
Yes, and few people buy them, but that's a whole other subject . . .
  • I was asked to get to the ground early & clean all the seats that haven't been used all season.
  • This game could still be shown on Sky
  • For all their winging and whining they had better sell out that new allocation now.

Jumping ahead a bit, but are the local pubs open early?

Lib open at 9.30am I believe
  • Charlton in bend over backwards for visiting supporters shocker.

I bet WE get kept back after the final whistle. ;o)

What was the reason why Floyd rd was closed to Charlton fans after the game on Saturday?
    Was it?

I didn't have a problem walking that way.
  • @elfsborgaddick told you there was no way they would get extra allocation

If Bournemouth are picking up all the additional costs, how come its only breakfast and not lunch and dinner too!!

  • I can live with us bending over to accommodate them as long as the team don't enter into the spirit of it. 4500 away fans wallowing in it and taking the piss after sauntering past us will put a right downer on the last game. We want some backbone and some competition with these Premier League expectants. Unfortunately, we have form in these games.
  • Lunchtime KO isn't it?
  • 12.15 kick off
  • This game could still be shown on Sky

It can't. Under the rules, no league football can be televised 3 o'clock Saturday.

And it can't be moved, because they would mean all the teams in the battle for promotion would know what result was needed.

Remember the year Palace were relegated by John Fortune? There were 4 different teams relegated at various times that game. Sky could have cameras at all of them, ONLY because the SFA insisted that the games were moved to Sunday.
There will be 2 games from the championship live on sky that lunchtime

For those of us sitting in the West Upper Block P (as a group of 6), how will we know where we are to be relocated and will they put us all together, does anyone know or heard?
OOps! Just read the official site! I thought the phone call and breakfast was a CL joke!
  • There are many good reasons for them doing this. However, I do wonder what would have happened if the fans that occupy those seats had refused to move. If they were all 'talked 'round' then ok, but if anyone was moved when they said they didn't want to then I think I'd be disappointed.

For me the point of a season ticket is that you are guaranteed your seat. If one agrees to move for the price of a burger then great, but I don't think I could be 'bribed' to relocate for a match that I'd reserved the seat for thirteen months earlier.

But you'd feel a bit uncomfortable as the only Charlton fan, surrounded by 1499 Bournemouth fans
  • This thread is weird.

It seems to me that a big chunk of Charlton "supporters" want the opposition to win a game at the Valley. And the last game of the season to boot.

I want us to kick the b***ards from one end of the pitch to the other. I want us to beat them 10-0. I want to make sure a certain Frenchman never to be able to kick a football ever again.

Why is this? Because they are the opposition. For 2 games a season, every team in the division is the enemy. Whether they be Bournemouth, Brentford or Birmingham.

Sod 'em. And if Kermegant gets both his legs broken, maybe, finally, we can stop the Yann lovers demand we re-sign him when he's 53, because "he can still do a job". To me, he is the enemy, and I HATE him.

And tough on any who don't like my attitude,

    Stop sitting on the fence.

  • I like that we've done that. We're a bigger club with a bigger ground and it's a decent gesture.

Still doesn't stop me wanting to batter them on the day, as I would any other oppo. COYAs!!
  • Charlton in bend over backwards for visiting supporters shocker.

Worst bit will be when they pen us in after the game so we have to wait until all the celebrations have died down and their fans have safely made it back to bournemouth before we can get home.

Oh, goes without bloody saying, hope we tonk the crap out of them ! Charity only goes so far ! Plus losing Blackpool means we need seaside sides inn Championship. Also That I need a top half finish for some decent wedge !
  • From the Official shite...

"The extra away fans will be located in blocks P, Q and R - as well as a small part of black N"

Who's he and won't that be uncomfortable?
  • and she has worked miracles to find a way of accommodating us inside a stadium that has season ticket holders dotted throughout.

Dotted throughout ? Don't we have more season tickets than what their shithole actually holds ? Twat !

Not in those blocks, especially Block R, who must be people who hate crowds and sitting with other people!

Perhaps we can also allow Bournemouth to wear there home kit and scrap our plan to wear our new home kit to make them feel more welcome.
  • The free breakfast is being served between 7-8am.
  • Also we can play the sound of seagulls over the pa system before the game and at half time and pump the scent of a sea breeze around the JS and the upper west before we hand them 3 points and promotion on a plate.
