My reasons to allocate the Watford defeat to Luzon are:
He was announced on the OS as manager early in the week before Watford away. He was filmed taking training, including giving instructions prior to Watford. He was interviewed about his first day at (illegal) work. He was at Vicarage road. Damian Matthew reported that he was following Luzon's instructions for at least the first half of that dreadful match.
I have no idea whether if we had managed to win there, the victory would have been framed as a triumphal start, and I do think it is harsh in the extreme to blame the miserable defeat on Matthew and Roberts. It might look better not to allocate Watford to Luzon, but it was down to him in my opinion.
He can dilute the effects of his Watford debacle by stacking up wins in every remaining match because after all he likes to win and doesn't like to lose.
I've just read this whole thread and it's like watching a game of table tennis it's so back and forth. The bottom line is people will do what they want to do, some will applaud powell during the match and some won't, most will applaud before and after, some won't. I am also sure we'll have a few tits that try and boo him.
My take on it for what it's worth is we should have a standing ovation applause pre match and some thank you and goodbye cheers post match, the game itself is against one of our league rivals, if we beat them we will go above them on goal difference, that is rather important in this competitive league so we need to get behind our current players and current manager for those 90 minutes of playtime. I whole heartedly agree that powell deserves an applaud, cheers, ovations, etc and that he should get all of this on Saturday but not during the game.
Whatever happens comes 3.03 on Saturday I hope that my fellow supporters that want to cheer are respected in there wish to do so and those that don't want too likewise

lets just hope they don't have a corner in front of the covered end then.
Applauding Powell during the game ... hero worship gone too far, Pre match he deserves applause, but during the game he is the opposition manager. He won't get pelters during the match but he should not get applause.
He deserves exactly what Curbs got - a big defeat and thats what I am hoping for.

I think those joining in would not be that naïve to continue then

Do you know what I'm interested in, whether or not Huddersfield leave a man up when they defend a corner. For as long as I have been supporting Charlton, all of our managers have pretty much kept everyone back to defend a corner. I want to know, because I forgot to pay attention at the Charlton vs West Ham game in 2007 if when our former managers leave the Valley, do they suddenly leave someone up?
Or is this phenomenon something that grips hold of managers only when in charge at se7, or something that follows them their whole career
Having just had a quick look at buildup for the game I stumbled on ITTV. Wow. Are they ok over there? Some serious bitterness and hatred for a bloke who, forget his playing achievements, absolutely romped league one as a manager. I know it's been done to death but I'm baffled by the bitterness. Is it just attention seeking?
Each to their own Valley11. Some people on there may have different opinions to some on here, but I don't think we've any need to dissect their motives. Live and let live and all that.
I just had a look at ITTV. I don't like the layout. I saw a few names on there that come on here, @DaveMehmet@sadiejane1981 for example. Are there many differences between the two?

It's stoked my patriotism toward CL anyway.
It's more intimate on there (smaller) there are some really nice people on there too but also yes a lot of weird bitterness towards chris powell which I am always fighting against, it has very little censorship which can be good for freedom of speech but causes problems as people can get nasty. But it's difficult to compare the 2 as they are so different, that is a discussion board with a lot less people about charlton only really, this site is more of an online community with rules there to protect members and suitable censorship, on here we can have a laugh and also seek advice and share experiences, there's stuff I feel comfortable talking about on here that I wouldn't even consider mentioning on there, like I said too different to compare. I will say their moderator Inkblot is a real legend of a bloke. He's approaching his 90's and has links with the very beginning of cafc and loves charlton, he is a very nice and interesting man.

Like to think outside the box( or off the box in my case)
How about 30 seconds of clapping followed by 30 seconds of hissing.
This will tick all the boxes as it's shows our respect at first and the fact he's in the
away dugout for the last 30 seconds?
I'll get my cloth cap.......
