Are we sure he would be ineligible? I reckon this could be the first time ever that a loaning club actually insists that as part of the deal the player they're loaning out plays against them!
That reminds me of when Luke Varney was allowed to play against us when he was out on loan.
They'll like him at first because he's a trier, eventually they'll see he's a wimp in the air and that he just does a lot of huffing and puffing without anything clinical. And what with Millwall's style of pumping the ball in the box I doubt he'll get much service.
If and when he leaves I can assure I will be reaching for my bottom drawer, opening my emergency Jack Daniels and taking a sip to toast the departure of Churchinho Spongefootio
ooh look...a nice new thread on a transfer rumour. If only we had somewhere where we could gather stuff like this together!!!
Difference is this is about a CHARLTON player on a CHARLTON forum the other thread was made for all rumours but as this is about a CHARLTON player it deserves it own thread
I think Simon Church is a decent player and does not deserve the abuse he has received on Charlton Life. The problem has never been with our forwards, but a lack of creativity in midfield. The delivery to our forwards has been very poor over the last few seasons, and until we sort the midfield out it will continue to be a problem. Don't expect Tony Watt to get a hatfull of goals because our midfield always struggles against other championship midfields. Notice our difficulties against Birmingham and Blackpool this season. It wasn't our forwards fault, we lost the midfield, therefore the control of the game. We never seem to get enough players in the box, because our midfield plays too deep and does not bust a gut to get up to support the forwards or run beyond them.
Comments
A. Because he would do his running ?
B. He made Yann look good ?
C. Yann was a lying frenchman?
D. Simon paid him to say it?
Don't even think about letting him play against us.
Every Millwall player shows a 50% improvement against CAFC, Even Church would if alllowed to play.
