On the plus side, we're unbeaten in the League. On the minus side, we seem to run out of steam in the second half and we let teams back into it; we could have a few more points on the board.
Point gained still. Could have won, but the tide was against us again, so i'm grateful really. Are we really good enough to be higher than 6th. 5-6 games ago, people said the games against Boro, Norwich etc would show us whether we can hang on to top six later in season. We seem to be taking points when we are outplayed for periods which must be good for morale. Igor scored again, so must be feeling confident. Shame about Cousins injury, hoping he is ok.
Peters must be feeling positive, even of we do keep drawing.
Yes we are still undefeated but we deserved nothing today. We score after eleven minutes then sit back and pass it along the back four for the entire half. Very negative and dull to watch. I'm not sure if that's what the players are told to do by Bob but if it is I don't like it. Buyens was poor again and we should have brought On Harriot instead of George.
One plus point we would have lost this kind of game last season.
Pleased with the point, pleased to be unbeaten still in the league & pleased to go into the two week break in the top six(assuming Forest beat Ipswich tomorrow) but can't help but feel frustrated as a fan once again.
Put this result alongside the Norwich game and we'd have all been happy with 4 points if asked beforehand. Even as s a stand alone result, a draw with Birmingham isn't bad, but the way we keep relinquishing leads really isn't good enough.
We really need to be more positive when we score. We literally sat back as soon as we went 1-0 up. Then after they deservedly equalised we decided to start playing again.
I have been a Jackson critic but he was the better of him and Buyens today (who kept giving it away). Igor needs help up top in the form of a target man but he is manfully battling away.
Morro was ok, and showed he is capable back up but Ben Haim will be back for Bournemouth. Bikey got his toughest test of the season v Donaldson I thought.
Overall we are certainly not better than 6th or 7th in the league but I think we have potential to give teams more to think about from an attacking perspective.
We need someone up top who can hold the ball up for Igor, not sure George is right for that role. Another point I suppose but after the first 10 minutes we should have mullered them, but we score and then it sounded as though we sat back.....undefeated yes but 7 draws and many of them from winning positions!!! Oh well on wards and upwards, but please lets get a target man in!!
Feels like two points dropped but considering the bigger picture, where we were this time last year on and off the pitch, I can't grumble with 6th and with a stable platform to build and grow.
Also eight former academy lads in the 18. The future is bright.
I can understand how you'd be happy with the point if you didn't watch it but if you did, you'd have to admit the football was pretty bad. And I don't often say that.
On the basis of factual evidence so far, either Igor is only going to score in alternate months OR he's not going to score in months with 30 days in them. It's too early to say for sure, but it's a lot better than under previous management, when he didn't score for us at all.
It's the same old story - one more strike option, one more creative midfielder, problem solved. We were fighting to get away from the relegation spots most of last season. Now we are fighting to stay in the playoffs. I can live with that.
Norwich fans are moaning because they drew at home(Norwich are top of the league) Watford fans are moaning because they drew at home(Watford are 2nd in the league) Derby fans are moaning because they drew drew at home(Derby are 4th in the league) Charlton fans are moaning because they drew at home(Charlton are 6th in the league) Wolves fans are moaning because they drew at home(Wolves are 7th in the league)
Do you think all of those other teams played scintillating, attacking, Champions League standard football today in the Championship? No of course they didn`t!
After losing 20 games at home over the last 2 seasons and playing utter garbage football I am more than happy to be unbeaten after our first 6 home games and keep the points ticking over.
Frustrating in that we just don't seem to be able to finish teams off by getting that second goal. Why did Bob move Bulot inside and Cousins out wide after we scored ? We seemed to lose attacking impetus then and didn't get it back.
Why put cousins back on the left after we score. Fucking shocking decision. His persistent on playing cousins there has cost us. We could be pissing this league if it wasn't for that.
I watched the Watford v Brighton game on TV today & it was a very boring game between two very average sides. It was a game of attrition with little from either side to make it interesting. I also watched the Leeds v Massives game. It was a sparky local derby, but again there was a total lack of quality from both teams. I think that this is the nature of the Championship this season; a lot of evenly matched teams with no real quality. Let's just sit patiently & see how the season plays out. There is no point at all in getting frustrated.

Agree he should be more central.
Whether we would be pissing the league though..........
Buyens was a liability (yet again), and should have been subbed at half-time. Shocking to keep him on and sub Jacko.
We seem to have no confidence going forward, everything we do is so laboured it's painful.
No-one looked like they wanted to be there. Vetokele reminded me of JFH. Yes he scored a good head, then could not be arsed. SO LAZY. Once Jacko went off, no leadership, no players talking to each other, nothing from the manager.
Cousins was playing so well, then yet again he puts him on the left. Glad he's ok (above).
Quite expecting a Birmingham win from 20 mins onwards, and they would have deserved it. We were abject.

Once Jacko went off we had a 2-minute spell of fluent possession that ended in a corner, and we largely dominated the game thereafter. While Jacko was on the field, we looked absolutely desperate. After the substitution, Buyens suddenly had a football transplant and went from a bumbling sack of uselessness to a midfield dominator. I'm not saying, but I'm saying.
I don't know the situation with Jordan Cousins but the ref (who had a decent game) stopped play straight away and it looks serious, I hope I'm wrong, but the Birmingham players surrounding the treatment were sympathetic and I hope that isn't a bad sign.
We started well and then took our foot off the gas, and couldn't worm our way back into the game. Too many of our players didn't sustain their form throughout the whole game and it was a disappointment, Bulot, Yoni especially were flattering to deceive all game, indeed Yoni seemed to more or less stop playing after his uncharacteristic mistake nearly let in Birmingham, and he was making useless excuses for the mistake in the immediate aftermath.
Nobody was awful, but few were above average, and an honest effort from Birmingham got them a reward from a well taken goal following a good corner routine. I suppose Bikey, Cousins, Igor and Solly were our best players, and it was nice to see Morro back but over all inconsistent and flat, as we were in the crowd too.
We are still undefeated so I still think that is good, and had we drawn at Norwich and beaten Birmingham then it might have been a more cheerful experience. We have a break and time to regroup before the next game and we need to use that time well.
In terms of what might have been, and the end result, it was all decidedly average.

First time I've seen anyone call Vetokele lazy. Disappointing if true.

Be good to get JBG back next time out.
Most importantly, hope Cousins is ok.

Now, I think I should move on.
