Can’t say for sure now, but as I was involved previously with running the club, I know for a fact that the lib only survived due to match days way back.0

I think that was much the same as The Oak when N & C had it, and also The Horse towards the end...1

Why do you need a designated away pub?Leeds_Addick said:Would be worried about whichever pub becomes the new away one. Will likely put off home fans and away support isn’t enough to keep the pub alive as shown by this.
Very sad.0 -
Alien concept for you I suppose - somewhere safe for away fans to have a drink and not far from the ground. I believe your 'away' pub is just outside Rotherham. ;-)Sparrows Lane Lion said:

Just been contacted by The Antigallican-they are NOT open tomorrow... Therefore NO pubs in Charlton area for Scunthorpe supporters.. The bar will be open in the away stand from 1.30pm... Follow previous advice and drink in Greenwich or London Bridge. #sufc @sufcofficial
So it seems the information I was told was, at least partially, correct.

Things may get more problematic when we play Sunderland or one of the big teams. I doubt the police will want 2000-3000 away fans drinking around London Bridge or Greenwich then piling into the same trains as the home fans0
