Just watched a jumpers bumper at Newcastle where the winner went about half a furlong clear - and stayed there ! James Moffat and jockey Charlotte Jones are having a great day there !

It was a complete joke of a race. It was a classic case of all the other jockeys refusing to break ranks in case they got it wrong but ended up all doing so. The winner had also bolted before the start so they probably thought that it would well and truly hit the buffers in the final furlong which it didn't. You can give weight but not distance. Credit to Charlotte Jones for her 509/1 double.

Fully agree. She also had a 2 or 3 decent priced places.

Don't knock it - Serpentine is, and will always be, a Derby winner!!
Shocked its passed the 3pm inspection today from the reports I was getting. The look in the morning is for the predicted overnight frost. Will get final update from Olly tomorrow but upto yesterday he has been very bullish about him.
All systems go for tomorrow and awaiting an update from Olly on the horse and what he thinks of the race tomorrow. The race is also a qualifier for 22k race at Carlisle 28th March
Zee Man today Catterick 3.30 Personally I hate owning a favourite especially a short one plus being well fancied too.I didn’t think he was value at 11/4 last night so certainly don’t at 7/4 today! Before his last run for Olly (new trainer) he was an inconsistent horse so if another big run (win hopefully) today then I would be convinced he has turnt the corner completely, even though last win was impressive on a course that shouldn’t of suited.Anyway enough of my doom and gloom and onto the one that really knows the horse and how they run and whose opinion really matters.......Horse perfectly fine and well and everything great, running off 97 today with 3lb claimer and expecting to be 105+ rated.Only two horses that could trouble him Relkadam and Don’t Need To Know.
Bad luck Killer. Thought he battled really well in horrible looking ground - looked like he was going to go on and win it 2 out but the winner clearly had a fair bit left in the tank. Hope all's OK with him.
All fine Peanuts and I thought he was going to win two out. Olly been in touch and said he hated the track and quick Jumping down back straight which caught him out. Believes 3 mile needed so not sure as regards the final, has to just run in another qualifier now after finishing second today.

Good to hear. And more of a Becher-type than Grand Sefton...... excellent All the best next time.
I have made two ante post plays for the Cheltenham Festival and both run today so if both win I shall hold good value bets or even good trading opportunities? Just watched a video from Bet Victor and the link seems that they are all trained/were trained by 3 stables in Scotland situated quite close together. All horses out of form and have therefore dropped to a very handy mark. The last, was once bought for £260k and races off just 90.
Singles, doubles and trebles made overnight, all double figured prices now into odds on
2/3 have already won with the fav now in the last race into 2/5.
Dont mind bookies taking a bashing but isn’t a good look for racing.
Not sure what the connection is with the Southwell winner to the other two but Daragh Bourke, who used to train the first winner but ran for the first time for Laura Morgan today (and won), trains the last runner.
For those that aren't aware of the horses in question:
Muss 1.00 Fire Away 25/1 in to Evens WON South 2.35 Blowing Dixie 14/1 in to 4/6 WON Muss 4.25 Gallahers Cross 33/1 in to 1/2 TO RUN
Lord only knows what bookies' liabilities are going to be hopefully Bob Munro will still have a job tomorrow should Gallahers Cross prevails!
Wealth warning - if you missed the big prices early doors, the worst thing you could do is to take the 1/2 on the last one. Usually one lets such planned gambles down though the perpetrators will have earned themselves a pretty penny already

Jardines stable is 11 miles from Bourkes
Fire Away is owned by The Welly Wobblers Club - this is their only horse and only run. The other two are "owned" by their trainers Ian Jardine and Daragh Bourke. They and Laura Morgan can expect a full investigation from the BHA.
Not a tip but a horse I have been following and that is Poetic Force in the Wolverhampton 6.30.
The gelding is 4 from 7 at Wolverhampton and back down to a decent mark. Would be happier if this wasn't a Class 3 and if PF was stepped back up even further in trip but I am convinced that this is an accident waiting to happen! So, at 12/1 (was 16/1) happy to have an interest today. On the nose too because EW isn't really an option given that it is 7 runners so first two only.

Unfortunately they didn't go fast enough early doors. Will watch out for that step up in trip.

It's entered in the Wolverhampton 8.15 on Saturday - a Class 4 race over a slightly further trip. Just raiding the piggy bank to see what I can get together!

Not been declared for Saturday. Not totally surprised, especially if the next run is to be a typical Tony Carroll plot, because Poetic Force's recent wins have been following an absence of three or four weeks
