My view on it is he's a similar asset to Franck Moussa, mouldable enough to swap wings and is happy to be on either, whip of a left foot on him but can use his right, but let's hold for someone who knows him better than anyone. Once he gets board admission lol.0

Yes I agree fully, but he can do it at international level. Each of those goals v Switzerland were so good in different ways.Scoham said:
As @Swisdom said he's not a prolific goalscorer, and what about the rest of his game, is that Prem standard?Addickted2U said:

Underwhelmed.
The YouTube footage shows 1 thing - he is class. He gets into good areas and he scores bloody good goals.
My only question - why isn't he in the Premier League?
(Unless you jest?)
On his interview on CAFC Player he talks about playing regularly. I think that was probably very important to him, but with a 2 year deal he keeps his options open.
I repeat - he is CLASS! Much more to offer the team than previous signings IMOH.0 -
So a bit like Cameron Stewart but better!Swisdom said:As much as his goal compilations are rather tasty - we need to bear in mind that he is not that prolific a goalscorer. He just seems to get worldy's when he does score!
We don't want to heap too much pressure on him1 -
he looks to have a sweet left peg
us left footed players look soooo much classsier than right footed players3 -
But he's not from the network :-(0

Great name0

People have gotta give him time though. I'm all for being very positive but we all know how inconsistent wingers can be.2

Looks very exciting - the benefits of a much broader scouting system and contacts than we previously had, plus Roland stumping up what was presumably a substantial signing on fee.
Very good to get these players on board before the squad departs for Spain. Something of a contrast to last year, when we signed Churchy and Sordell 2 or 3 days before the season opener at Bournemouth.
We now look to be gathering some real momentum. Hopefully, it will encourage people who are wavering to commit to a season ticket.3 -
Dutch top flight club with Europa league experience, and he leaves that for us! Bob mustbe selling a good message:-)1

Doing a Seth and PBR ( I think that's right!)
As usual, I know nothing about our latest signing but I know others will as per their posts leading up to the announcement.
2 things come to my mind...Wonder what other Champ Clubs are thinking about our numerous signings & our new owner now ? ( OP eat your heart out!)
And, secondly, what a selection of quality players Big Bob has to work his magic with !
Not looking for too much from tomorrow's game but Peterborough & Pompey and then Brentford ....well, this old girl is getting pretty excited !!
Bring it on !!!8 -
Shame we could not have kept Poyet, still think we need a CMF player ie,Scholes,Keen, also with due respects to Pope think a top Goalkeeper would be nice.0

The buzz word is "bumpy" Addicted.Addicted said:There will be ups and downs this season but you can be certain that with our current attacking options there will be days when we tear teams apart.

Not a criticism here, as you said free transfers do not exist.AFKABartram said:There is no such thing as a free transfer...

I like what were doing at the moment. Fantastic to see investment in our great club. After being really dubious about RD, I cant help but now be impressed with his business methods. Some hard almost ruthless decisions made but tbh im feeling quite optimistic about the season ahead. Might even have a little flutter on promotion!3

Looking good for the new season and more importantly good vibes for the long term future of the club.0

When RD first came in did not the SL fans come on this very forum and say "you won't like what he's going to do to your club but in time you will"? Let's hope the next part of what they said about wining the league is as prophetic!!crookester said:

Quietly impressed by all of this. Don't get me wrong, this bloke, Buyens, Vetokele et al may well turn out to be duds but this feels much more exciting than last season. Bring it on.2

I work with an Icelandic bloke who is a life long mate of Herman from our prem days and evidently this guy is good with bags of promise0
