Without RD coming in the minus ten would've fucked us
TJ and MS had ran out of money
The American dude ain't bought any football club in the uk yet
No other bid or sniff of interest got past dd
And the mysterious Eastern European bid has never really got through the door and if the money was Ukrainian then abramovich would've Only stole it 8)
I get fukd off repeating that both yann and dale did not have to go both had offers on the table both chose to go one in a good way the other a bit less favourably
Now on here murphy and Parker get called greedy cnunts all the time
Why not these two
The infatuation with yann from some I do understand as he was a very good player
However I said from very early on in his negs I was uncomfortable that he seemed to be blackmailing cafc with powelly and powelly a contract be fore he would commit
Let alone the questionable negotiating method that he chose
Remember 1 more game and his terms for the remainder of this season stayed the same and he could continue negs in the summer
Riga just said that Wiggins is out for the season.
It's all very well blaming our probable relegation on a 20 year old winger for missing a header.
Me, I prefer to blame a 67 year old mathematician who knows less about football than I do, for selling our one decent striker. Oh, and the other jokers for not giving that striker a new contract earlier, so that this joker wouldn't find it so easy to sell him.
If you was the new chairman would you pay the sort of money yann wanted, for a 32 year old out of contract or would you accept the half a mil ? Honest question that's all . Think I'm gonna stay off here for a while , people need to calm down . Its in our hands still , keep the razors away tonight guys .
If he'd keep you up, yes.
Easy to say in hindsight but at the time we wasn't exactly doing well and I suppose he's scouts had told him about an under 21 polish striker banging In goals for fun with a lot of top European sides wanting him , sounds like a good player doesn't he , how wrong we all was.
Whether or not you agree, deep down, I think we will be okathemt on any medication at the mo).
But if we do go down; I don't want to just accept defeat, regardless how toothless up top we are. I want us to fight until the last minute, the players, the fans, the club.
It will not be smooth, it never is being a Charlton fan. But does anything in life consistently go smoothly?
COYR
What make u think were be ok? At least millwall as much as I hate to say it look at least to have some fight and desire left in them?

I look at fixtures, teams around us are either playing teams chasing playoffs, or rival relegation candidates.
Four of our five games are against teams, who really have nothing to play for. Not saying, they wont try, but I'd rather have our fixture list, than Blackpool's or Donnie's. I think Millwall will beat Donnie at home, and ultimately stay up. I think Donnie will drop with Barnsley & Yeovil.
Call it a hunch, call me unrealistic, call me mental, call me deluded, I am not giving up hope just yet.

We have fight and desire (albeit not at Brighton) just no cutting edge. Two games a week really taking their toll the minds are willing but the bodies are starting to resist. Last night was down to two individual errors which you can't legislate for, crap marking at a corner and the keeper getting done by a fluke cross come shot which he should have had covered so let's not go too overboard.
There was fight and desire in the team last night. They were ridiculously lucky to score 2 goals n under Powell unfortunately I feel that we would've lumped to a 2-0 loss at home to Barnsley. What angers me is just the quality of our attacking players, these are professional footballers and they can't score a free header from 6 yards out etc. There's strikers who play in parks on Sunday mornings who are better finishers than Harriot and sordell
Riga just said that Wiggins is out for the season.

If he'd keep you up, yes. Totally agree Option 1- pay a 32 year olds wage another year stay up everyone's a winner Option 2-sell the player get relegated to league 1 and its lose lose lose Loss in season tickets sales and general tickets Remember the away crowds as well 200/300 at best Also our best players will leave as well or won't renew contracts Think this adds up to a bit more of a loss than a year of yanns wages!
Do we know for sure that Morrison wasn't injured? (I know he was on the bench but that might be because there was no-one else).
Sadly, too many players are going off form now. Hamer, who was brilliant after being brought in for Thuram, has made significant errors in the last three matches. Last night's was a weird one. It looked as if the cross was curving outwards and Hamer thought it was going out of play. I can't work out whether he was stood too close to his near post or not.
Dervite was excellent in Riga's first few matches but he's making a few errors now too. He headed the ball too wide of Hamer for the throw that lead to the freak goal.
The strikers were actually ok last night with their back to goal. Both Sordell and Obika held the ball up well at times and played others in but the problems came when they faced goal. Their lack of confidence is all too plain.
Wilson is obviously pretty badly injured/knackered but will now have to be thrown in whatever happens. Solly tried hard but posed no attacking threat at all (perfectly understandable after such a long lay-off and he's probably still carrying the injury).
Ok...the team for Friday....assuming Morrison is fit and everyone bar Wiggins is available....
Hamer (just)
Wilson Morrison Dervite Solly (LB)
Adjarevic (RM) Poyet Cousins Jackson
Sordell Reza (on the basis that he does at least possess SOME goal threat. He's hit the post four times now since joining)
Anyone still remember Welling ? CP decided to see what would happen if you played Piggott in front of Kermogant. What happened was a first half hat-trick by our only natural striker who happened to score 30 plus goals last season .Having seen the result, CP immediately ignored Joe until the Millwall game when he started him with the instruction 'go and make a nuisance of yourself' which sent Joe rushing around the pitch instead of playing his natural game up front. Cometh the hour, cometh the man, but don't hold your breath !
I'd be happy to play piggot and karlan grant the rest of the season they can't be any worse than the loan players we have up top at the moment .
I'll pass on that one.
Yeah because we're banging in goals for fun at the moment , we literately can't do any worse In the final third , anyone who's seen piggot play before the millwall game will know he knows where the back of the net is .
Horrible defeat against a poor Barnsley side that leaves us badly needing a win against Bolton on Friday to still be favourites to stay up. Once again out inability to score when on top early on cost us. I've been following Charlton for over 50 years and this is the poorest collection of front players (I refuse to all them strikers) I have seen. Whatever the reason for Kermogant leaving the loss of our only decent front player could well cost us relegationfor Kermogant leaving
To finish the above comment I don't think what we have up front now is good enough to get us out of League 1 if we end up there, I just hope we don't need to.
I've never left a game early before but thinking about the train home I did with 20 minutes to go yesterday. I was fed up watching the utter dross served up on the pitch and the poison spilling from the stands. I was hugely surprised to see we managed to score.
Regarding their second, that was apparently yet another deflection. Hamer I thought was slightly at blame for the first goal, I expect him to punch out a ball on the edge of the six yard box. Harriott had another woeful game but was out of position and hearing abuse from the stands will not help him.
It was also yet another match where we were screaming out for Yann. There's a lot more I could say about him but that's been done over and over. I think this is the worst set of strikers I've seen at the club in my 22 years. As has been mentioned, although inconsistent and at times frustrating we do miss Cameron Stewart.
I'm away for the next couple of games and don't feel particularly bad about it. That isn't so much because of the poor displays on the pitch but everything that's happened off the pitch the past few months. Everything about the club is negative at the moment. Ironically I'll be seeing BWP play next week, I'll get there for the warm up when all's quiet, go down the front and give him a 'better than Shaun' chant on my own.

Did you see Pigott at Leeds one of the 198 like I was? He was hooked off on 52 mins and was lucky to be given 7 minutes at the start of the 2nd period. So it's a no from me when taking into account his other performances this season in the league. This isn't U21 football and he is not ready to cope with the physical very street wise centre halves in the Championship, just my opinion.
In the cold light of day That was one absolute f##king shocking display Had a change to relegate Barnsley and bring teams above into the mix but as in true Charlton fashion we bottled it
I honestly fear for the future of the club I have supported since 1962. I don't trust RD, or that bint he has installed at the Valley, further than I could throw them.
Whether we stay up or not, by the end of June I suspect we'll all know what his real motives for Charlton are.
Still angry at the whole thing. More i think about the starting line up the more confused i get.
What do they do in training, can they see they are playing players out of position? do Dyer and Matthews still get involved?
I'm as angry as anyone but I actually didn't think the line up was to bad , Riga didn't know wood hamer would play shit and mainly obika and harriot would have their worse games ever , 4 3 3 it looked ok to me but our strikers played shit .
Sorry should make it clear i meant the balance of the side.
if harriott plays at least give him a chance to do something and play him on his favoured side, we were crying out to have Wilson and Solly back down the right hand side.
I understand that we need to nurse Solly back but that could of been done by not playing him on Friday and even on Monday if needs be.
We are 1 point worse off from a positional sense than when he took over pa with a game I hand
Tonight tou have to understand was not a woeful inept performance by the whole team
Infact quite the opposite it was woeful play by two or three players all of which were powelly players
Hamer Wood Harriott
Wood missed a sitter then let the Barnsley player have a free head on goal
Harriott missed the easiest chance in the world ever
And couldn't run tackle pass or do anything other than skip across the pitch like a camp 5 yr old
And hamer has reverted back to form of being the most inconsistnat goalie I can recal us having
Mark my words of the other guy had done what he done tonight then god help this sites server
RD ain't responsible for not bowing to blackmail from a player who yes was very very good for us but was also in the squad that was 3 points above relegation in jan was the lowest scorers in the league In jan
The Mgr Chris Powell was also very responsible for that plight and for the situation we find ourselves in
Tonight wasn't a team of shit signings by RD
Yet again
Reza AA looked better than OBika and sordell one who powelly so desperately coverted and the other powelly main signing
Riga fukd up tonight first time IMO since he got here
Wrong starting line up bad sub I the solly one and the reza one
Your case may rest but is full of holes I don't think that mr nell need worry to much
All without saddling us with more debt regardless of wether the man can afford it or not
Agree completely.
Too many people trying to point the finger at just 1/2/3 people.
Apart from the fans, everybody EVERYBODY associated with Charlton this season has to take some responsibility for this monumental fuck up.

Easier said than done but it's time for the players to forget about the league table and just go out and play football.

Apart from the written off bonus games, of course.
If we win on Friday it changes things again. Lets not give up we have plenty of games and points left to play for.
