So if Reams is right and he signs does this mean he will leave this summer but for a lot of money or he will be he here next season to help us push on?
can only assume people who think its a joke that Wilson could be POTY havent been to any games. Played out of position, yes the occasional lapse in concentration, but a willing runner and is becoming very solid and dependable. Top, top attitude and the kind of player I want to see playing for Charlton

I didn't say it was a joke, I said it shows how desperate our season has been. The bloke really isn't a decent Championship player.
CHARLTON boss Jose Riga says that the club are fully aware that Diego Poyet's contract is running down. The young midfielder - the son of Sunderland boss Gus - is due to be a free agent in June. And while the Addicks would still get compensation if Poyet, 18, moved on it would be a blow to lose one of their prize academy products. Poyet has been one of the star performers since getting his first-team chance recently. But his dwindling deal is a cause for concern. Riga said: "Be sure that we have our eyes very opened about this. "I think he is happy at the minute. He can be a very good player. "I'm sure with the environment and family he will always receive good advice. "It is the same for Diego as it is the team - the way is still long."

So, he has been played out of position for a lot of the season, yet our defensive record is one of the best in the league. Strikes me as someone has done a very decent job at Championship level actually.

But back to my original comment about it summing up our season...... Do you want a player that has played out of position, that has done a 'decent' job to be your PLAYER OF THE YEAR?! How shit does that make the rest of them that have played in their 'proper' positions
Wilson has always considered himself a right back...
Has he? He made his name at Stevenage as an attacking midfielder.
played right back mostly for stevenage and spent his entire youth career at charlton as a right back, its only recently he's made the switch further forward.
Hope we don't mess about...just offer him a contract. Also, I agree Wilson has got better this season at right back, but when Solly is fit...he will go straight back into that position.
We are now owned by a businessman, and to Diego his contract is business since it is his career path. He is a sensible lad with a very experienced dad, and the next couple of years are crucial to him. If it was one of my grandsons, it would be a massively important thing in my life, with no prizes for guessing where our priorities would lie.
