FF - is it ever the gaffers fault? As you said yourself, we went down yesterday without a fight. Could he have done more to keep Kermorgant? Whatever we are led to believe, accepting the sell should have been an over my dead body moment.
For me the most perplexing thing this season has been the demise of Pritchard, who was such a big part of our success last season. I cannot understand it.
At half time on Sky Sports Chris Kamara said that Charlton had been doing nothing wrong, but Leicester were so good. We have played Leicester and QPR twice, out of the way. Barnsley look like they are going to go to me - Doncaster have lost the form they found and Blackpool are falling like a stone - put Millwall and Yeovil in that mix and whilst we are in trouble - we shouldn't be too pessimistic about getting out of it.
Put it this way - if we stay up it will be despite, not because of, RD. Some fine words and a long-term vision, which is commendable. However, we have so far lost out badly compared to all our rivals in the transfer/loan market.
I wasn't there so will refrain from commenting on the performance, except to say that it is absolutely no surprise to have lost to Leicester.
But I was shocked and dismayed to hear CP say he was happy with a 0-3 defeat. That is rubbish. I am not happy with a 3-0 defeat to anyone, including in the Prem, and nor should CP be.
Anyone who thought that consecutive wins, however great they were, means we had turned the corner and didn't need to bring any loans in is deluded. We clearly need loans to strengthen and we are consistently being out-bid for or turned down by loan targets. That is worrying. We have given ourselves a morale boost and we still have a chance of survival - but we are on a tightrope over a long drop and I wish the Board would recognise and react to the danger.

I don't get it either. Players REALLY fall out of favour with CP, and are sometimes never seen again. Gower was signed last summer it's easy to forget, and played a few games at the start of the season before being dumped. Pritchard the same. And you can add Harriot to that to be honest before the last few games. That's 3 of our midfield at the end of the 2012/2013 season.
I'm sure Pritchard can come back because his game was about workrate, rather than skill. I wonder if a few knocks are effecting him as if you don't having him everywhere on the pitch he is only an average player. If he is everywhere, he is very important and useful for a team.
Last time I saw Pritchard play was against Oxford in the cup and he was useless - then again he was being played wide right which is not his position.............but who is to blame for that !!

You can have all the work rate but if you don't have a football brain, or skill you won't cut it. Sadly that's pritch.
But he cut it ok last year! Changing the subject - the early first goal was important because it wasn't the plan to chase the game - and having to do so suited Leicester. So even more galling that the first goal was clearly offside!

WOW ! Didn't realise that, Mutts ! This is the first time I've heard the possibility even mentioned .
Yes, it was offside and not given. In the football folklore of settling in away from home, getting through the first twenty minutes, quietening the crowd, well that offside goal put paid to that. Unfortunate, but we have to hope we get a lucky break somewhere along the way ourselves.
We are 22nd and played the runaway league leaders away from home - the best you can really hope for is a plucky 0-0 but the chances are you're going to get pasted and we did.
Big thing now is to focus on getting at least two more bodies in - a right-winger is urgently needed - and focusing on what is ahead of us.
We don't have a huge squad but we do have some good players that are capable of getting us out of trouble - even if we only get 3 points from the 3 games in hand we have on Doncaster and Millwall then we get out of the bottom three.
Defensively we are not too bad - but we need to get the attacking structure right and scoring at least two goals per game so we can these much needed wins.
>Disappointed....thought we would give them more of a game.....cup has become a distraction<
Wellwickman Think we've chosen the wrong year to go on a cup run. We will have 2/3 games every 7 days until end of term. Doing a Wigan increasingly likely. Threadbare squad can only do so much. We know which games that must be won.

In the predictions thread I said the important thing was not conceding an early goal - I know we have all said it before- but if some of us are going to dig out the players and management for the performance, it is right to remind people that the game changer was an error by the officials.
still 3 games in hand, still a number of home games vs relegation rivals and an away tie at probably our most realistic candidate for the 3rd relegation spot. we get just 1 point from the 9 available in the games in hand, we are out the zone. We were never going to get anything at Leicester. Move on. Complain after defeats at home to Barnsley, Yeovil, Bourney etc. Not now
Outclassed. Very impressed by the quality and speed of Leicester's attacks. The first goal was excellent. Second avoidable and the third is poor all round. Three of them could have closed Nugent down and Hamer could have dealt with it better.
Was at the game on saturday. LCFC are a strong side and are up there for a reason, but I cannot agree with CP and others who suggest they are the best team we've faced. They aren't. Forest and Burnley looked a lot better than these lot. The result came about through a sincere lack of effort from our lads coupled with Cousins being played out of position. Also Morrision's departure early on showed how much organisation he provides to our back four.
Found ourselves playing the ball around without any real intent and Leicester seemed happy to allow us to do that.
But if we win on Sunday, who will remember this one?

Leicester are on another level compared to us. We was never in the game.
They are top for a reason in a very strong league. Not feeling to down about it.
