Everyone saying she lied ? They said they will look at the best options which they clearly did for 2-3 days but come to the conclusion that GuyLuzon was the best for the post ... To be honest given the list I saw he was the best !!!
Everyone likes Her at the club she works hard for the club she is at every game and she has the toughest job being the link between RD and the fans
How can any organisation organise a list and interview for a senior position in 2 days? What list did you see and how come you saw it? It is her job it attend matches that is not working hard that is just part of her job She does not regularly communicate with the fans and IMO recently her communications have been lies.

I read the piece and immediately thought she has destroyed her credibility if he is sacked in the next few weeks, so she must be very confident he won't be. Either that or she has no idea what she is doing. About eight hours later it was confirmed that Peeters was gone.

Not sure I get the nonsense bit? She said what she was supposed to say IMHO nothing else would have been appropriate. If I have a senior member of staff not performing and I cant stop the trend I will before anything else target a replacement. Before I know if he/she is ready and forced to answer a question I would say I will stand by that member of staff (all the time he works for me). If I then find the replacement available I would assess the situation again and if there was no improvement would sack and replace. No lies just as it is. IMHO
How is she a liar? Can somebody please provide evidence.
In her statement on Monday, she said the following:
1. The sacking of Peeters was 'not considered' until after the Brighton game 2. That there would be a full search for a new manager 3. That the new managerial appointment would be the best for the club in the long term
The first two points are complete bullsh*t.
She says in the same statement that a reason for Peeter's sacking was that we have only won once in 12 games... so how is it possible that it wasn't even considered until Saturday evening? Also, the full 'search' for the new manager consisted of promptly hiring someone the next day within the network, who we had all heard rumours about coming in, several weeks ago.
Only time will tell if the final point is true, however an 18 month contract hardly suggests 'long term' to me! It seems like Luzon was appointed due to him being cheap, available, within Roland's network, and a 'Yes Man'. Not because he was the best person for the job.
I'm not saying I completely disagree with Luzon taking over, but the way in which we've been fed a load of crap around the recruitment process is insulting, and almost comical. All we ask is that any search for our new managerial appointment is not rushed, comprehensive, and ultimately any appointment made is in the best interests of the club.
The truth of the matter is nobody knows the relationship between RD and KM. RD obviously holds the power, and be amazed if it was any different in any other club. There is no evidence that 1. wasn't true. They, like me, may have been having serious doubts about him but Saturday and the obvious lack of team spirit/fall out was the final straw which decided them to take action immediately.
There is, actually. The Israeli website. I was convinced, when it first reported Luzon - the previous Tuesday - that it was bullshit, and stridently said so on here. @Desert Red, who supplied it, surmised that Luzon or people around him were the source. In other words, they had an impeccable source, and it was the same source that they had the previous week. It might not be evidence in a court of law, but I really wonder what the case for the defence would be.

It was the dreaded vote of confidence for Peeters. As soon as I read it you knew it was on their minds, why even say it otherwise?…then I picked up my VOTV and read that instead.

I think the issue is more that she went on to say effectively that the club would take the time to consider the best long term option. Appointing a manager - from the network - with no experience of English football and whose most successful experience was 'a good start' with the best squad Standard Liege have ever had doesn't suggest they've done anything of the sort.
To be fair, neither Lennie, Curbs nor Chris Powell came with track records either - but if you're in the position of taking time to get it right, give yourself more than a couple of days to understand what's really needed and to get the best solution. I'm not saying Curbs was the solution, but I'm going to take some convincing that Luzon is demonstrably a better option than just that one example.
A lawyer doesn't get their words wrong. To me it smacks of KM giving the right messages but decisions taken elsewhere making somewhat of a mockery of them - and us.

I disagree, she maybe clued up on legalities and administration but take her out of that comfort zone and she comes across as naive.

Putting aside any doubts as to the hair trigger in sacking Peeters.
If the club really approached this process with a single minded focus on who would be the best person to manage Charlton Athletic, who, of all of the potential candidates throughout the footballing world is the best person to progress the club in the longer term, then what do you think the chances are that the best candidate just so happened to be on the payroll already and currently doing little more than kicking his heels? And they were so confident in this that they didn't even need to give any other managers the time of day?
There simply hasn't been time for Katrien's stated approach to have been true. But given that she also took the trouble of appointing caretakers for what was eventually about a day, it does make you wonder whether she may actually have believed her statement when she made it.
My gut feeling is that she does have the club's best interests at heart, ultimately though RD will call the shots and he seems to be working to his own crazy agenda.

I'm not saying no communication at all but why not just wait until you've sacked Peeters before publishing a piece in it? i.e. the Rotherham game.
Everyone saying she lied ? They said they will look at the best options which they clearly did for 2-3 days but come to the conclusion that GuyLuzon was the best for the post ... To be honest given the list I saw he was the best !!!

Ha Ha You crack me up. Must be nice in your world
So, exactly who were on the list for possible replacements?
My guess is that it was RD making decisions at the last moment and messing KM around. I am not necessarily against RD's vision and strategy - English league football is a long way from being as good as many think and the favoured sugardaddy and extortionate pay for mediocre players business model is an accident waiting to happen; but his people handling skills (witness the treatment of Chris Powell, the impossible situation in which he has placed KM and his reluctance to front up to the supporters) are truly awful. If I were KM, I would be wanting a serious clearing of the air meeting with RD.

She is accountable only to her boss. As long as she is doing what he wants she is on the right track. Her only problem is that when things go wrong he blames his employees, not his strategy, and fires them (even Luzon at SL). The strategy is the main problem, not the executors of it. Firing Peeters indicates they think he is the problem, not a squad which is too weak for the championship. Now it is Luzon's turn to try to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Good luck, mate.
